Nope... it was comment. Go to the the upper right corner of your screen where it shows your NavyForMoms id - below that it shows your Inbox. Go there to send private messages to people you are friends with in the site. :)

Awe... you guys... I'm so happy for you! It's just so sweet that we all get excited over getting their box of clothes, seeing their writing and those 3 little lines they get to write! WOW! We sure love our recruits! I hope they feel all the love!!! :)

@ Victoria....Yeah, I'm happy that you got your letter. I'm praying I get one in the mail today....our mailman comes around 5 p.m., so I'm still waiting...it is only 2 here in CA.

Yay! We are on the list for Graduations!!

I got my letter today too!!! YAAA!! Cry Cry Cry....total tears of Joy. Confirmed ship 12 division 343. Drew said he is doing good, but there is a lot of yelling. I'm not a yeller, so that must be a shock to the system. Sounded good in spirit even joking in his note. So happy to hear others got their letters too. Don't worry Pink and newnavymom, my son left the 18th and I just got my letter today. Your letters are coming!! Dana told me mine would be coming and it did.

I got my letter today! Confimred Division 347 Ship 12 with a PIR of October 15th. Yay! So happy to be apart of this group! The letter was so uplifting. My husband it not a romantic or anything, but his note was so thoughtful and sweet. He wrote it really wasn't that bad as well.

PattyV - good news! So glad you got your letter today! I'm crying with you! I can't wait to meet all of you too!

We call it "cracking your head off" around hear when your really laughing because one of our kids called it this instead of "cracking up laughting". Let me tell you I haven't cracked my head off since Drew left, that is until today, when my email said I had 123 emails (99% from Navymom notification). So Awesome!!!! Lots of good news today. More to come tomorrow for sure!!!

Your boy will be ok - don't worry! Boot Camp does suck! LOL! The first few weeks are the worst and then recruits begin to adjust. It's very stressful and they purposely try to make them uncomfortable. But they have to do that... because our Sailors need to be able to handle stress. The amazing thing about boot camp is that they push recruits to their physical and emotional limits and this makes them grow and become stronger! As moms, we hate the idea that our kids will be "unhappy" but it's only temporary... and it has a very special purpose - to turn them into Sailors in the world's GREATEST Navy! It's a pride that will stay with them forever!

deemedic - YAY! Lots of us are staying at SpringHill Suites. But there are others at Candlewood Suites, Ramada amd Residence Inn I think... and maybe one more I've heard... can't recall exactly.

PattyV... that's great! If he's enjoying himself... I hope my boy is enjoying himself right along with him! Hopefully that means we'll be getting letters soon!

Hi Dillons Mom! I know... we were chatty! Our group is growing!!

Let me say this I sent my daughters recruiter a message today thanking her for being her...she has been such a blessing...she knew how upset I was with Desiree leaving and any information she was able to give me she sent it first thing...I hate to hear the stories of recruiters making their quota and then forgetting the ones that gave them their bonuses for joining....but do know that there are some good ones and who knows maybe one day some of our children could be in that position and they will have the compassion with moms and dads and will keep them posted!

I should have said that my husband and I are staying at the Candlewood. They are pretty nice to stay in.

I got my form letter today. I'm doing a happy dance! So good to get something from my son. He left a short note and sounds very serious; however, did add an I love you at the bottom. It has been a good day!

He was very concerned about who is coming to PIR and he wanted me to make sure I invite his girlfriend. That is about all his three lines read. Maybe they are rushed when they write those letters. I would like to have known how he was doing. My son is hard to read and doesn't want me to worry because I do worry.....
