PIR 10/15/10

Marsy, My son is in Div. 342 as well.Where is your daughter going to be for A school? Mine will be staying in GL. I know I have to wait a couple of hours after PIR for him to move his stuff over and get settled in. Then he can call me and we can pick him up and spend the remaining time with him until he has to return to base.

@ Dana, I asked the same question about a peanut butter shot. It is my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong anyone...it is an immune shot that is real thick and cold...something like that....I guess for some it is painful to sit down.

hey everyone! my aunt is one of the guest on my recruits list to see his graduation and her daughter isn't on the list but if anyone knows if the daughter can still enter with proper id? i tried to call the public affairs office for 2 weeks and still no answer. okay im off to class. =)

Marsy- My husband is gonna be a G&G too. He thinks he may leave right away. He still has to find out more info...I know its gonna be so hard for us, but we'll get through. I'm trying to look at it like the sooner he goes, the sooner I can move in with him. I hope it works..I'm sure I'll have a breakdown at PIR.

Oh Kaleena - I'm sure lots of us are going to have breakdowns at PIR! I wonder if our whole division is G&G or just some of them? I'm hoping it's not the whole division...

I'm sure it's not. I knew before Jeremy left to boot camp. But it still gets me sad. :(

No letter today :/ hopefully tomorrow - never got the form letter with the password so writing my daughter now to get it hopefully! Rebruiter is going to see what he can do tomorrow...

I heard it is the first two divisions so that would make it 341 and 342 for pir 10/15

and all of the 344ers who said they thought they saw their SR in the facebook pic i thought so too!!!!!

Yessssss!! I got a letter today! This letter was okay but he said that he misses home more and more each day but the days are less until graduation. This week is "Hell Week": Monday: A PT Test and weapons inspection. Tuesday and Wed. is live fire. Wedesday Zone inspection and Thursday his division has drilkl assessment. Friday is test 2 for academics. Lots of stuff going on for them. One thing is for sure, they miss us just as much as we miss them!! Hugs to you all.!

LC girlfriend, My son's division (342) is Grad & Go. according to my son.

ya i did EXTENSIVE and i mean EXTENSIVE research on grad& go. At first I got really discouraged because many people said SR's leaving for out of town are grad&go...many said Nuke's are g&g...and my bf is a nuke going to SC so i thought i was DOOMED even though my SR was pretty sure he was not

and then i read somewhere that it is almost always the first 2 divisions to walk into PIR and that would make it 341 & 342 for pir 10/15 and from what you all are saying so far all of your recruits in those divisions are g&g. I should get my letter tomorrow & i am SO nervous because i have been asking him from the begining whether or not he is g&g so now that i know all of your recruits have this info i am very anxious to see what my letter says.

Yeah, I knew my hubby was bc he's going to be on subs & they're G&G. His recruiter told us from the beginning. So they may all be G&G in 344.

DanaMN, Yes i believe 342 is a boy/girl division. At least I know that there are girls in that division if that's what you mean! LOL! (what do I know)

I miss my boy so much! I can't wait to see him. I'm still hoping he isn't Grad & Go. Hopefully I'll get a letter tomorrow that will let me know... one way or another... so I can stop worrying about it!

Can I get my son's contacts to him before graduation? Does anyone know? I'm going to Chicago that Sunday, Oct. 9th. What are the chances of me getting them to him? (Probably slim to none)

thanks everyone for the sympathy. And back at all of you who have G & G's. Its hard but like you said Kaleena, the sooner they get to A school, the sooner I get to visit her there.I know I will break down at PIR too.

Winniesam - I just read this same question on the RTC Facebook page. Here is their reply to someone with a 10/8 Grad date:You are allowed to send him contacts (with one week of cleaning solution). You can send them now.

On the FB page some people have asked that same question.

Marsyt - I feel for ya! I REALLY do! I hope you can at least go to the airport and sit with him for a while... I hear that is often possible!

Aww Chris' Girl..You are so right! Even if its just to see him Graduate, I will be there. I should be happy I can even go to that. It can be worse!

My hubby is staying in GL so he said it doesnt really matter if he is g&g it will just take some time away from us on friday thats really it.. and if they are g&g when they get their liberty orders they could get over nights (small chance) so im just playing it all by ear and not gunna get my hopes up on any situation.

DanaMN, Thanks for the info on the contacts Dana. I went on FB and saw that but it didn't say how I should mail them. Can I use that bubble wrap lined envelope? What do you think? Thanks for any help.

Winniwsam - I think that would be fine. If there was a specific way it needed to be mailed... they would have probably said so. :)

so, i got tons of letters in the mail. my bf is grad and go. but he doesnt leave right away. so Im going to stay till sunday. My bf is fairly sick, he got meds but he is still going every day. He has another PFT test this week and lots of new information and studying. On top of that, he wrote a full page of I love yous, and mixed in a "will you marry, its not official till due time. " and more I love yous. So basically he is getting ready to propse to me. I just dont know when!!! So im engaged lol :) I can't wait to see him !!!!

Yay, Dudesgirl!!!Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you!! :)

PattyV - I know my recruit was sick also. He was given meds and cough drops. (His bunkmate is the medical yeoman and my boy says he's really nice!) It's very possible BS21 is Oct 7. Only a couple divisions can do it each night and maybe they don't include the Holiday on Oct 11th. Guess we shall see.

As far as Grad & Go... that usually means they leave RTC and don't get the weekend with their family... but I'm confused if he said he doesn't leave until Tuesday. If that's the case... I don't mind if my recruit is Grad & Go! :)

I hope to get a letter tomorrow and we can compare info! :)

thank you DANA, Im sooo excited now, I am buying my tickets either today or tomorrow, my bf said he can take me to the airport either saturday or sunday as long as he gets back by 9pm. and he is grad and go. but his A school is only a month long. GOSH I CANT WAIT!!!! CROSSING MY FINGERS THIS ANXIETY THING WILL GOOO AWAY NOW!!!

I'm a little bummed because my Mom was so excited to go to my son's graduation and now she has to have heart surgery on Monday, so she won't be able to go. :(
