Yay a letter for me today!....346 our loved ones will be taking Test 2 Wed so keep the prayers going they all do well....:)~

Got a letter this week and then a phone call!! Yay! Molly said 342 is definitely G&G. She is the only one going to Nuke in that division but she said some one from 341 is too. Any Mom out there with a Nuke in 341? Nuke school starts on Mon. thats why they don't have any time. They will fly out on Sat. at 6am. She said gas chamber was next week. I'm so excited now. Good luck to everyone on the letters and calls. Prayers to you all.

She acted like everyone was making phone calls that day. She said they had their time cut short to only 30 min b/c they got in trouble for something( I assume she meant her division)

Maybe I missed this but what time does PIR actually start? What time do they start letting people in? Do they lock the doors at a certain time and not allow late comers? I read one post that said if you get there at 6:30 be prepared to wait but they never said how long. Just wondering when to get there. Any body have answers? Thanks

anetrex -My recruit said in his last letter that the rumor was they'd get phone calls on the 30th... but ya know... it was the rumor. Still hoping for the phone to ring though! ;)

What's even more funny.. I got my call on the 16th which was also a Thursday like the 30th will be. Wonder if Thursdays mean anything?

well thursday is the day that i am leaving and got my last call on a tuesday on the 14th

just heard from nikki got a call she is going to be pushed back 2-4 weeks due to ankle injury she is going to div 2341 ship 4 ...

lindalav - OH NO! That's the RCU - Recruit Convalescent Unit I think it stands for. I'm so sorry! I will keep her in my prayers for quick healing and a return to duty!

i cant seem to find that division and ship... i hope my son wrote it right. i will have to call her recruiter

She will be fine at least her dad her brother and I were able to give her some encouragement... I just want her to get through this and be a sailor :)

lindalav - it's a temporary holding type ship. I'm guessing when she's healed she'll be put in another division that's in progress now that will match up with where she left off. Let me see if I can find the group on here for you.

We just had this new member, stlvan(ship12div.341-PIR 10/15), join us - her daughter was in the RCU and was put into Div 341 when she was ready to go back into training. I bet if you message her she can give you some idea of her experience.

do you know if she is being pushed back to another division will she graduate with them? and participate in PIR?

Thanks so much she is so disappointed but she will get over that as long as she accomplishes her goals -- i will keep checking on you all to make sure your sailors do well!

lindalav - I think that it's likely when she is healed, she will join a new division and graduate with them and participate in PIR. That's my best guess. ;)

I hope so - I would hate it if she didnt get to participate in that..

lindalav, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's injury. Like DanaMN said, we have a new member, stlvan, who's stepdaughter just got out of RCU. She had other recruits that were in RCU and asked if we woud write to some of them because they need all the encouragement we can give them. I did get two of the recruits names and that is the correct address that your son gave you. I just wanted to let you know that. I'll pray for a speedy recovery for her.

Could you let us know what airport she's flying from and flying in to and about what time her flight arrives? That way we could see if anyone is coming in at that time as well. It might be easier to coordinate something that way.

Hi All! I wanted to update you on my Mom... she survived the heart surgery but her heart keeps going into fibrulation. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. You have all been so awesome so i thank you in advance.

Lindalav- so sorry to hear about your recruit. You both are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and successful completion of boot camp.

pink- I know how hard that is my dad had a triple bypass last may and we just celebrated his 80th birthday saturday- my prayers and well wishes for your mom and a speedy recovery~ back when my dad was in the hospital I put it to him this way he just had his 100 thousand mile tune up and hes good to go for another 100 thousand and i wish the same for your mom
I sincerely appreciate all the well wishes thoughts and prayers for my daughter and I will pass that on in a letter to her tonight- you all are so awesome and i was so looking forward to meeting you all - but we will all still keep in touch. We are now connected through our recruits - thanks again for everything!

YAY..got a letter today and it was totally unexpected. She said she is really doing okay and not to worry. She said she has made several friends and can't wait for us to meet them. I was really surprised at how upbeat and positive she sounded.

got a letter from my daughter said she will be carryin a flag ship 12 div345 so proud of her does anyone have a picture of the div flag??

Hi PinkHelmet! So glad your Mom made it through the surgery. I wish I were there to give you a great big hug. When my Mom was with me she had cintuple (I don't know if you spell it like that LOL) that is 5 bypass surgery. It's scary but the Lord guides them and us. Now it's on to recovery and many happy days ahead! Welcome back!
