Capatains cup... I believe is kinda like a field day for them.. They compete as a div against one another and with skills theyve all acquired thru out bc.. There are videos on youtube. But theres a award for like best chant, best div, best mixed div. So im wonderimg how we find out who has one bc ive seen ppl posting their div won on rtc fb page but rtc doesnt post winners.. So how do we find out... Phone calls? Idk.

Congrats 341 & 342! I got so emotional reading all these posts, even though it wasn't our div. It's awesome to hear! :)

You will find out who won when the next group goes to BS YOU moms will ask them and they will let you know! :) Now, if it was like my girl, she didn't know because it wasn't hers, she just knew she came in last place! LOL

I sympathize with your deemedic, and even worst for me because I even don’t know what division my son is going to be…but now it is all good....

Melohhdee - My son told me last Sat. on the phone that the DVD that you buy from them is very good. One of his friends in his DIV has a brother in the Navy and they purchased his PIR DVD.

Congratulations to the 341 & 342!! Going nuts waiting for Wed. for the 347 to go thru. Hopeing for a call &/or a letter today. 10/15 can't come soon enough!!

Thanks for the videos Dana.... It is certanly very emotional to know that 2 of the divisions have become sailors and that we are only FIVE days away from graduation and these videos make me {still :-( } be there tomorrow. I am afraid the next coming days are going to be the longest days, at least for me.
Do you know if the sailors that have been set back are included in the Captains Cup?

Melohdee: Definitely get the PIR DVD (he can order it with his pictures). But if you can take video too, that is a bonus! I didn't see my son the whole time....but saw him when he passed in front of the "review stand" on the PIR DVD. But I have seen some wonderful "personal" videos posted so do both!

Division 348 won Captains Cup! Way to go 348!

Congrats again to all the sailors in divisions 341 and 342 and thier families- Just an update nikki is on stage 3 now of rehab and the doctor is trying to get her out of rcu by november the bruising and swelling has gone down and she is now walking laps and doing more rehab- Dana she wanted me to say thank you so much for thinking of her she really appreciated it- she got all her mail on one night and was overwhelmed like it was Christmas lol. It made her night and now she is trying to write everyone back - but is running out of stamps and envelopes(which are on the way little does she know mom has already sent) Still hoping I get a call from her today! Hope all have gotten news or calls or letters on their recruits and hope all is well....

Linda - I'm glad she got her card. So happy to hear it cheered her up a bit! Poor girl...it's got to be tough! :( HUGS!

Got a 45 minute call from my son, sounded better health wise but was bummed he was still there, said he should have been on his way to Pensacola. Gave himself a 30 second pity part then got up. He is still nervous about passing his run, but my husband gave him a pep talk and told him he just needed to tell himself he was going to do it, then do it. Here's hoping!!

Judy - prayers to you and your recruit - may he find the strength to push through and just get it done! HUGS!!!

Thank you! He said it was really hard yesterday morning, because he saw his old div (331) marching toward the PIR hall. They stopped to let his new div march past.

Judy-I did mention to Steve about your son. He said quite a few guys got put into their division in the past two weeks, but he things he knew what kid I was talking about. I told him how much you had invested on airfare and that you were a really nice person. He said that he definately do what he can to encourage him!

great.. .just great.... 4 days until I leave for GL, and I have a massive sore throat, nose, and huge migranes.. Im sick all right and still working. Worked 12 hours today like this. I hope I am better by the time monday or wednesday comes along... Great job 348 in winning Captain's Cup. I bet all div's did well. Can't wait till Tuesday. My bf is going thru BS21!!!!!

Dudesgirl- So sorry. Drink lots of fluids and rest when you can! I have been giving anyone who sneezes around me the evil eye.... ragweed is REALLY bad here in Texas right now and everyone is sneezy and feels terrible. You have 5 days to get better! You can do it!

Dudesgirl-I know how you feel. I am sicker than a dog. I went to the dr. yesterday and am on antibiotics, musinex, cough medicine and I'm flying out to Chicago tomorrow and I feel like crap. And to top that all off, my dog was in back of me and I didn't see him and I landed hard on the ground on my hip and butt. Man, the black and blue is forming already! Other than that I'm great! LOL! It doesn't matter. I'll be that much closer to my recruit!

Dudesgirl- im getting over just having strep throat. it was frustrating but relax get some sleep and hopefully itll clear up :)

Question: Should I bring my son's laptop with me? Will he be able to bring it back on base? I bought a case for it but I don't know if he'll be able to bring it back with him. I don't want to bring it with me if I just have to bring it back home with me because he won't be allowed to bring it back onto base. Also, are the grad&go's who have A School in GL going to have liberty? Sorry I can't think straight today. Getting ready to fly out later this afternoon and my head is ready to explode. Thanks !

gradngo's with Aschool at GL check into aschool after graduation then get their rules and liberty some might get overnight liberty. I was hoping for this but my hubby isnt a gradngo :(

I can't believe we get to see our new sailor's this FRIDAY!!! I wish all luck to the rest of the div's in passing BS21!!! All stay well for the best PIR weekend EVER!!!! SEE YOU ALL AT PIR! Note: I might not be going to meet and great due to the time that I will be getting at the hotel I will be staying at the Courtyard Marriot if anyone else is staying there too.
