Ok I’m going to try to summarize, You guys are really on the go… I was gone just for a few hours and it seems I was gone for days..… running last minute errands and walking like a zombie waiting for that phone call that did not come….. yet…I don’t know how long more I can hang in there….

Drewsmom, I am so, so sorry, I just can’t stop tearing, can’t imagine what you’re going thru…Just put everything on God’s hands, he knows better…. Now you Hang in there Baby….his time will come, that was very cute … thanks a lot for all your support, I was looking forward to meeting you….

Dana ~ you’re such of good wife, giving call time for your husband…. LOL…. No seriously that was very nice…. I had written my husband and Christian’s father phone number on the palm of my hand to give the numbers to him to call them and share the good news with them…

Pink Helmet talk about panic…. You got me cracking up…. I’ve running like chicken with two heads and while at the store I panic as well … thought someone has taken my phone… oh and get this one…. I went for a massage and without realizing it put my phone on silent…. Talk about Panic again…. Good thing none of the calls were from mu son…well I hope that’s a good thing..

Drewsmom, I'm so so sorry. He'll make it though. I know it's tough to be strong but know that I'm thinking of you and Drew and you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Yamile and winniesam...Haa...guess in all the emotion..I was too vague. Everyone... Drew made it...He is a Sailor! Yea!!!, Unfortunately, his Dad & I will not be able to attend PIR, and up until today, I was hopeful that our circumstances would change so that we could still go...and the bad news isn't that Drew didn't make it...I must have really done some bad writing. Sorry... But YEA!!! He did make it. Wish , reeeeeally wish we could be there, but unless things change tonight, it just won;t happen.
Yamile, I will surely miss meeting you, too, hun. Keep posting, though. I really want to know how things are for you... I still have high hopes...and you will remain in my thoughts...

Good luck to 345,346, 347 & 348 tonight! Especially 347!! Praying for each division to pass and become Sailors! We are currently in Ohio and will be continuing on our travels tomorrow morning for Illinois! Can't wait until Friday!!

Sorry Drewsmom. Guess I misunderstood but Yeahhh he made it but I feel bad that you both won't be able to attend. We'll have to take lots of pictures and forward them to you!!!! Hope we can still keep in touch through this website so we can keep up with our sailors! Maybe one day we will meet!!!

ive been up all night not able to sleep, so patiently waitin for the phone call i fly out to illinois today at 2:20 so i think im going to miss my phone call

No problem winniesam...and thank you. My fault for not being clearer....Pictures would be soooo great! He said he will be doing rifles and a solo at the end...which, since he will be performing it makes it so much more heartbreaking to not be able to be there.
But hey...I am still pulling for those in Battlestations today, and to all of you who will be there for PIR, HAVE A GREAT TIME! your new Sailor....
I think we will all probably still "see" each other on NFM to keep up with progress. My candle is still lit for 345, 346, 347 & 348. Good Luck to everyone...

Proud mama i dont know what time zone you are in but the calls usually happen after 2pm central time - I hope you dont miss your call but at least you are on your way! Enjoy it all and remember lots of pics!!!!!

At the Springhill got my phone call about 4 today....:) just a few more hours and i'll be hugging my daughter!!!

I'm sad to say that Jonathan will not be graduating with his division. Got the phone message when I landed in Chicago. His lungs are not to capacity after the pneumonia. He missed his run time by 7 seconds. I'm so sad I can't bare it. I'll be retuning to Sacramento tomorrow. He called back when we were at the hotel so I go to talk to him. He sounded so tired and sad. I told him that I love him so much and no matter what happens I'm very proud. Hopfully I'll be back in a few weeks to see him graduate. I'll be praying. All you moms give your kids a big hug and tell them you love them.

Oh bonniesboy I am so sorry! I feel your pain. How is though that you didn't know sooner? When did he have his run? My son is in the same situation due to pneumonia. Should have PIR'd 10/8 then 10/15. Now will not have a PIR at all, will just go to A school when he has passed everything

Bonnie'sboy...I am so sorry. How sad to arrive in Chicago only to get the news there. So sorry, hun. I may be happy that my son is graduating tomorrow, but at the same time, very sad since his Dad & I cannot go see him right now, so we will miss PIR.

Victoria and Bonnie's Boy...I'm sorry to hear you are both sad today :( I am also sad because funds were a lil low so I didn't get to make it to PIR. I know that my boyfriends family is there so I'm trying to feel better about it, but still sucks knowing I COULD have seen him today after almost 2 months of not seeing or really talking to him in person.

Stay strong and I do pray that both your son and husband pass soon and you get to see them go through the most important part of bootcamp. Everything happens for a reason!!

Well it looks like we are the ones hanging back and being misty eyed but we also will have our change so hang in there! I had to take time off work today because my mind was not in a frame for work - Good luck to all that have had set backs and injury to get healed and pass their tests asap and be on their way!

We may have missed Drew's PIR today, but his wonderful Fiance' video'd for us and said she will send it to me so we can see his Solo at the end of the ceremony! Yea!!! Can't wait to see it...Bitter sweet...but we get a glimpse.
