My daughters PIR was today, sadly I was unable to make it. If anyone has photos from DIV 342 they'd be willing to share I would be ever so greatful, just in case my baby girl happens to be in one. I'd like to see how things unfolded. Thank you, thank you in advance.

Could someone please post the info for division shirts again? Our son ordered a couple but I would like to order some of the long sleeved style. Thanks in advance! Yesterday was a dream come true for our Sailor Nick! It was a fairytale for his girlfriend Suzy and a very blessed day for all of us! God has truly blessed us all!
  • sondra

Congrats to our new Sailors! To those who have been set back for whatever reason, Hang in there, your day will come!
  • gmarie1113

So tim got called back from 11 - 4 because he didnt know he had watch last night so he had to make up for it today so we're picking him up at four , kinda sucks but hey, at least he's allowed to come back
  • RNstudent/NavyMom/ship12div344

Thanks for the info! NEX didn't have div. 344 shirts, only ordered shirts were made. That's ok.. I now have the info to order the long sleeve style that will get me through the long cold winter that is upon us in Illinois! One more day with our sailor! Going to love every second of it!

Hi everyone! It was so nice to meet some of you this past weekend!! Graduation was really wonderful! I'm so proud of all our Sailors!

I miss my Sailor though! I'm already looking forward to him having leave after A School. Hopefully around Christmas or maybe after New Year's. I'm not really sure how I'm going to get through this... I wish I could move and be near him! :(

I guess it's just one step at a time... but this sure is hard!

    Hugs!!!

    Hi Everyone.
I just wanted to say that I thought the whole ceremony was beautiful. When I finally got to my sailor, Andrew, he almost knocked me down and there were lots of tears to be shared. We spent the day together but he seemed so worried about making it back on time. We got him there before his time but he still wasn't on the line in time. We had to sacrifice part of Saturday because he had watch. It was hard to say goodbye and when he walked away he never looked back. Glad he didn't as I was just a mess. We flew back to Dallas on Saturday as we have younger children at home. Anyway, I'm proud of all the new sailors and even meet some of Andrew's friends. They call him Gonzales with an "S". They asked why his named was spelled with an S on the end. His dad told him it had to do with which side of the border you were on...lol
  • LindaB(Ant'sMom)10/15

DanaMN and deemedic - I changed my name from Winniesam to this. Thought it was more fitting but anyway, I had such a good time at meet & greet and meeting both of you. Dana, I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for the Navy Moms and being there for us. The name tags were awesome! I enjoyed sharing the Graduation ceremony with you too as well. We will stay in touch I hope if that's okay with you. Thanks again and Hooyah! Oh and Dana, I told my husband the same thing: I think I'll move near Anthony! LOL!!!
  • lindalav

Loving the pics girls! please add me as a friend so we can keep communicating on here and on facebook - I feel like i am in limbo since i dont have a new PIR date I am just floating in the balance. I cant wait for the word that she is in a division and finishing up!
  • rsv227-Devin's Mom

Had an amazing w/e w/my son!! It was so nice to have met the few of you that I did. I regret not being able to make it to Anastasia's for the M&G, but we were exhusted. We too, had to sacrifice some of our time w/Dev as he had watch duty from 8am-12p Sat. morn. We did however cherish every other min that we spent w/him. Can't wait to see him@ Christmas!! It was funny watching him on his cell phone catching up w/all of his friends. To all of you on N4M"s, you all area wonderful bunch of families & I've really enjoyed sharing these past few weeks w/all of you. Good luck to all of our Sailors as they begin the next leg of their journey!!
  • LindaB(Ant'sMom)10/15

  • Kelly (Pink) Curtis' Mom

Hi Navy Moms! I was off the site during PIR weekend and then had some training to attend at work. I am finally back online!! I changed my name too - but kept the "Pink" so you would know it was me!!

What an awesome weekend! I am SO grateful that we got to spend time with our Sailors! It was a very special weekend with my son and my family. My Mom even made it to the hotel for a couple of hours on Friday evening!!

I want to thank all of you for helping me through this journey that was boot camp and PIR. I would not have made it without your encouragement and information! I hope we can stay in touch going forward and keep track of our Sailors progress.
  • LindaB(Ant'sMom)10/15

Hi Kelly(Pink)! It's LindaB (WinnieSam)! I changed my name as well! It's so good to hear from you. Congratulations on your sailor and I'm so happy things are going so well for you and your son! Good luck to him and to you and I hope we can stay in touch! Hooyah!
  • SailorAndrewG'sMom

Hi ladies! PIR weekend was awesome! Having time with my son was so wonderful and I was so impressed with the graduation. It just made my heart swell with pride to see all those young men and women dedicating themselves to serve this great nation of ours! not only did we get the joy of our son but we also had the exclusive experience of being apart of our son proposing to his girl while we were there. This is a weekend that we will never forget and will cherish forever! Thank you all so much for being supportive and helpful throughout this whole experience. I have had the fortune to have been apart of such a great site where mothers share, express and connect with each other. If only we had this type of site for ALL aspects of our lives! lol I wish you all happiness and hope we can continue to stay in touch while our Sailors continue through the journey they have chosen.
  • Vincent'sMom

    Happy New Year all!!!
  • julieb

I don't check in with this group much now that we have all gone to different phases. lindalav I wanted to say hey.  YEA you guys made it through!!!!! I hope things are getting better for you and I wish you all the best. Funny how we make these connections?! You and your daughters situation always stuck with me and I just wanted to pass on a Happy New Year to you as well!
  • lindalav

Thanks Julie-  It has been a wild ride but it did pay off in the end.  had a great 5 days with her thanksgiving and then had her home christmas even though i didnt see her much lol-  she was out more than home ..but all is well she is back in GL doing A school getting frustrated cause every time she has to go to dentist or what not back on hold.  Feels like she will never finish.  I told her the motto should be hurry up and wait and she started to laugh.  Other than that she seems to really like the Navy life.
  • rsv227-Devin's Mom

Happy New year to all!!  I have missed chatting w/this group since PIR & everyone has moved on to different things.  Hope all is well w/every one & their Sailors.  We were very fortunate to have Devin home for Christmas & that was great! He is still in A school @ GL & is doing awsome. He will be finishing up in early March. I will anxiously be awaiting his call on Fri. as his class is supposed to pick orders.  Keeping my fingers crossed.
  • Melohhdee Div948 PIR10/15/10

hey all, hopefully you guys visit here sometimes but i miss this group a lot so ill give a small update on my sailor. husband got duties to report to japan but they didnt realize he was married so our first station is norfolk. i arrived here last friday and im almost done unpacking and my movers did a wonderful job packing everything but my movers who were supposed to unpack didnt do dip squat. nothing so far is missing so so far so good.

i hope everyone has got to see there sailor and i hope everyone is good, well and health. ive  been here almost a week and im starting to feel the loneliness even though my sailor is here. im a bit homesick i believe.

    GO NAVY!

  • LindaB(Ant'sMom)10/15

Hi Melohhdee! It's so good to see some activity on our site.  I check sometimes to see if there is ever an update. My son is in San Antonio in C School and will finish the first week of July.  After that, I don't know where he'll be. I hope he goes to San diego because we live in AZ. but you never know. I'm sorry you're homesick but that's normal. I'm sure you'll meet people who are in the same situation as you. The main thing is that you are with your Honey!!! I'll check on here and if you want to talk I'll be here for you.  Good for you that you're almost done unpacking!  That's one thing that I hate doing!  Well, good luck and talk to you soon.  Linda
  • rsv227-Devin's Mom

    Happy Mother's Day Everyone!!
  • rsv227-Devin's Mom

I miss chatting w/everyone  here.  My Sailor son is in Guam & loving it.  He actually has a friend from home who is also stationed there so that makes things a little easier for him.  He just bought his first car & is very excited about that.  I hate having him so far away but @ least I know he's safe there.  Hope all is well w/everyone & their Sailors. Have a great day:)
