He said..my boy said...... momma.. please dont spend a thousand dollars to come to my 10 minute graduation... we will graduate and they will put us right back to work.. it will not be like PIR... please momma... wait... I will get some leave before I have to report to my orders... at that time we will all gather in Florida... so----- I said okay son... I will do what you want.. he said... that is what I want... I want to see and be with you for more than a day.... so that is what it shall be... at this point grad will be next friday the 27th they think, he is done all flights done all grades passed... still top 2 in class... still hoping for SD or Guam... my heart aches... but he promised me at lest a dozen photos... of the graduation

Lydia-my son said pretty much the same thing.  I really want to be there but financially it just not in the cards, especially since he too will be graduating on the 27th and is requesting leave so he can come pretty much right after that.

Calimom - your boy is in VA graduating right??  sheeesh I cant rememeber.  I was thinking he and my B RSSed close together but one went to VA and B to SD but then I could be confusing your boy for another... there are so many hahaha!

AIRR ------   never mind... sniff sniff ----  I just texted my son and he said Romeo guys are not even close to their base location so the graduations will be seperate.  At seperate places on base and who knows what times...  so thank you anyway for your thoughtfullness..  I think I do recall your boy is Romeo am I remembering that correctly??    =0(

Okay so here is what Im thinking.. becasue I really do think about and pray for our kids each one.. but I lose track of who is where in their pipeline... so can everyone refresh me memory.. some I remember but a lot I dont and they move so fast and yet so slow sometimes..... so Ill start.... I know the big mouth mom...

My B is about to graduate RSS Sierra pipeline on 27th and get orders.. he is currently in SD...

Sorry, been crazy around here with other aspects of our lives... my sailor just passed his final and is headed to Jax soon to start that part of training.  Congrats to everyone that is graduating and keep on moving to all in schools. :)

My son is in Jax at FRAC, about half way through now

SO, KarsonsMama and mom2four will have boys be together sort of in JAX only one already in the 1/2 mark.. kewl though cause yall have something in common!

sweetpea..  kewl - I hope my B gets to stay there too since that is what he wants..  now.. to clarify exactly what my son TOLD me uggg.....they actually get two sets of orders...  B was given orders when he left A school in Pcola for a particular training squadron in Cali.. but that is not their permanent squadron - it is their FRS (my B told me to stop confusing FRAC with FRS- ???  I still dont get the difference..  Fleet Replacement Squadron for RSS is as he said to me FRS not FRAC???)  huh???????? squadron..  he said the permanent squadron and duty station aka base are assigned on the day or slightly before the graduate the actual Pipeline..... of final Graduation..  but perhaps this might be something different.....so well, who knows right!  Ben is HSC3 currently.. but will not stay at that squadron after graduation...as it is RSS helo training only.. 

OHH sorry yes I did change my profile pix.. I know I get used to ppls pix and when they change I get all confused...  but then Im easily confused!!!!  anyway...  sweetpea... I know your boy will LOVE SD... they all seem to.. so much to do there...  from rock climbing to snowboarding.. awesome!

sweetpea..  awe how awedome for him... like going back home!!!  yes very confusing and I hate asking tooo many questions... you know how they hate that.. so Im trying to go with the flow and figure it out as I go hahahaha!

I thought you already did but when I went back to all my messages, I could not find you..  I know we have talked about the boys before but I cant find the message....  Ill ask about BS squad... not sure B will know cause they are so different.. but imma ask anyway....  Again AIRR - I thank you so much....  you know... when my B grad RSS, I could not afford to go.. so a fellow momma from N4M who lives in Pcola area actually took the time to go and do that for me....  I think Navy mommas (wives gfs and dads) are the best of the best!!!  Im proud to have you all as my friend!  Friends are hard to come by that is for certain!!!!

Ann1, My son said the exact same thing, don't come it is only 10 minutes.  Is your son graduating from A school?  Romeo-my son will graduate the beginning of March/ Romeo.

MamaGG, Thinking about you and praying for C.  Hope you are doing ok-I know SERE is a very stressful time.  I asked  about R's graduation but T did not answer me, I know it is in Feburary,  I will ask again.

He did it!  He graduates tomorrow!  I'm so proud of him.  He got rolled back the first time and this time he is graduating the class leader.  He's done such a great job this go round.

Lydia-you are correct, my son grad RSS a few classes behind your sailor, but they knew each other.  Your son was good friends with my son's roommate, so he got to know him a bit.  And yes, he is currently squadron 2 in VA and will graduate on the 27th.  Weird how both coasts are graduating sailors on the same date.  Wonder if that happens often?

Thanks Lydia, Not much time at all to find a place to live before SERE. The Navy would not grant personal leave during the move.To say the least they are pushed for time!! 

sweetpea... perhaps they will contact the base/unit omnibudsman (did I get that right) the person who helps them with these situations.. suggestions on living,  maps etc...

I need some prayers ladies... Son would not confess to me that they put him on hold after coming home for his dad's funeral, but did talk to him last night and he said he is finally back on the schedule. Of course, being off the schedule was news to me. He thinks he sparing me the worry... don't they know we worry anyway!!  Great to know other moms are going through the same. Love this place :)

Ann1, Saw he posted he would most likely leave p'cola end of March.  I thought it would be 2nd or 3rd week.  So guys dropped due to grades? That is very scary after so much schooling.  Praying for all of them. Son last initial D.  Lydia can give you his name if she is friend on FB or here.

KarsonsMama, I am praying for you and your son.   My son tries to protect us too.  Just gives me one more thing to worry about.  What he is not telling me.

Ann1, Not sure, do not know your son's name. My son was on duty this weekend. 

I am sure they know each other, they are only a week or two apart.  Son's initials are TD and he was a SWCC guy.  Been in P'cola since 12/10.

NavymomGG, Hope C is doing OK, praying for all SERE guys.  Praying for all of our Sailors!

sweetpea.. he will be steller...  I dont know why.. but they all come away loving it and gaining so much from the experience according to my son....  did they find a place to live??  I know you said they had some ideas....  Oh and the first week of SERE they still have phone privs...  just not after about this Thursday/Friday.. thats when they go on "Quick Quiet"...  (rememeber Hunt for the Red October....) hahaha

sweetpea, surely with the nursing homes, hospitals etc in the great SD area she will find a good job!  Sounds like she has good experience to and Im sure will get a great letter of recommendation!  hooyaa for them both!

MY B GOT HIS VERBAL ORDERS boy is he a happy boy!!!  He got exactly what he wanted...  perm duty station San diego!  and he is attached to a bad a** squadron!  wont mention the name here.  but he is super happy...  and his best friend other than R also got the same duty and squadron!  God is GREAT to answer his prayers and I reminded him of just that....!!!  he knew it tho!   So Im a happy mommie...  I dont like the country that his squadron is contracted to be in support of as it is a not great middle east country so Im hoping for the best with that...  anyhooooo...   HUGS everyone!  Thank you for the prayers!

    Just joined the group...I've been "observing" for a little while, appreciating the info shared.  My son is just finishing up A school in p'cola. I believe he is friends with several of your sons. His 1st initial is R. He graduated bc in 9/10 with several also...was originally swcc.  

     Originally thought I didn't really need another group to join but couldn't stand it any longer..lol.  Wish I had know it about it a little sooner, but the info has been much appreciated....so...thank you all!

He just found out today he's going to SD... he's romeo so it was there or Jax. Thanx Lydia...I believe he was in bc with your son also.  The dates that i've seen match..but he 1st was in sd then reclassed to rescue swimmer.  He's finished p'cola 2-17 but he doesn't know dates for transfer or sere yet.

Rmom, Did your son do SWCC first?  Does his last name start with A?  If so he is one of my son's closest friends. Their other friend C left for SD in Dec.

MamaGG, I think Rmom is our R's mom and he graduates 2/17 and he got SD yeppy for C.  He will be very happy!

roxanne, yes he did and yes it does  :-)   We did get to meet C in Nov. before he left.  We were there in aug for R's rss graduation but didn't get to meet his friends then.  Some were supposed to do dinner with us one night but think they had duty...may have been your son and/or C.

Rmom, Our sons have been together since July of 2010.  Yes C and R came to your house for Thanksgiving.  T was on duty that weekend.  It is a small world. Are you going to Romeo graduation?
