Sorrowfully, you can add KarsonsMama to the list to ask about A school.  Pray for the boy... I am sure everyone at Jax has now heard about Karsons Mama's boy, a bit of trouble over the weekend. Nothing terribly bad, but local police are involved and Navy is not happy with the boy. Could be career ending...

Just so sad. :(

 Yes my boy knows Karsonsmama's boy- in fact we were just talking about him. Sending good thoughts his direction.  My sailor said he is a really nice guy and hopes it all works out ok.  Hang in there mama!

Ann1 - okay so congrats to the work situation!! soooo your son is with Rox and Navywifes guys.. I think I knew that sorry!!! awesome or perhaps just behind... he will get orders very soon! I pray he gets what he wants.. !!! we have several in Jax and seveeral in SD... so he will be at home where ever he goes!!!

Tam.... okay kewl.. thanks for straightening me out... I was thinking RSS... but that is yet to come! awesome! prayers for her and you! tough stuff but it is do able!!! =)

Lydia, I think Ann1's son must be just behind T, because all of the RSS guys in T's class (4 of them) got their orders Tuesday and they all got SD.  If he graduates in March then he must be just behind T.  NavywifeApril's hubby is 1 or 2 weeks ahead and they all got their orders about 2-3 weeks ago.  If he has taken and passed test 14 he will get his orders the following week.

Hi everyone, I feel like I know most of you pretty well, have been following your posts for a while now, my son is at the end of 2nd week of RSS, doing well but just really sore, HA!  Trying to figure out all this school lingo and process of everything.  You all have helped me so much in that department.  Praying for all your sons/daughters, we have some awesome sailors!! 

juliem, good luck next week. Week three is a difficult one. Hang tough even if there are set backs, keep your sailor strong. The test is just beginning! We will be praying with you!!!!!

Ann1, My son graduates from Romeo March 16th, he said the same thing don't come graduation it is just a few minutes.  He only has 3 RSS guys in class, rest are dry guys, 4 of them. He and his RSS classmates will all be going to SD. NavywifeApril's hubby graduates March 2nd.  So cool that you get to see the helicopters flying.

I cant remember who's mom of CW from Texas stationed in San Diego...we had him over to our house last weekend, what a great kid (man) lol. It was a real pleasure to have him and he is welcome in our home anytime. You should be proud!!!

Lex, My son's class did go back to phase one after RSS, however all the guys tested and phased up within a week I believe. 

I guess I should've clarified that my son classsed up in NACCS and has another 2 weeks to go. I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but if you had to choose, what graduation would be the most important one to attend? RSS or "A" school?

jajajo My Son suggested for me Not to attend A school graduation. Most of us attended RSS graduation. The ceremony is short, but the tour and info received prior to the ceremony was what I enjoyed most.

Lex - that is awesome and it does get better in that they now start to work as a team and they earn more respect from their instructors and vice versa my son told me...  still hard and still some very crutial test to come especially the final test the last week...  My son said that they never really went back to Phase 1..  So I dont know the correct answer..  as Roxs boy did..  but my boy did not..  either way Im sure it would not take long to get back up as she said! 

Jajajo - great...  they all seem to Love NACCS... but the RSS is the bad boy!  hahah   I had a Navy friend sista..  go to my boys RSS and video it for me..  boy was I thankful that she did that..  she lives near Pcola.  and I got some great photos of him receiving his certificate and the Honormen Award Knife..  If she had not gone for me I would have missed all that!!  Aschool is not a big deal as
Sweetpea said according to my son also. 

Rox - I know you are excited...  soon your boy will be graduating A and scooting on into the rest of this pipeline ....  awesome!

westcoast mom - so awesome of you to have some Sailors over!!! 

Lex-I second what Lydia said regarding her son's experience regarding having to phase up in RSS.  My son was a couple of classes behind her son, and he did not have to reclass up when he got to A school.

WestCoastMom-soooo jealous that you get to be near your sailor.  My son hasn't been anywhere near me for any of his training, and now his duty station is taking him even further away. 

Today is the last day of my son's leave before he leaves tomorrow for his duty station.  He leaves tomorrow morning and doesn't get to his duty station until like 7:30 Sunday night with only a 3 hour lay over.  That boy is going to be on a plane for a LONG, LONG time.

Tam - it will depend on if he is Romeo or Sierra...  but honestly it can be any base in the world...  from Guam to San Diego and any base inbetween...  that one you will have to wait and see!  My boy got his choice which was San Diego..  his buddies went all over the world...  but even in SD he will still visit the "sand box" - It further depends upon what helo squadron...  each one has different assignments...  from the desert to carriers.... 

Cali - I know you have enjoyed that boy of yours!!!!!!  Godspeed him along his journey with safety!!!!  Hugs momma

Tam-as Lydia indicated, their duty station can really be anywhere, and it can be shore duty or on a ship.  From my son's class, 3 were assigned shore duty, and 1 was assigned to a ship.

NavyWifeApril, Congrats to you and your husband, and thank you and J for sharing the pictures, I enjoyed looking at them.  Lots of Graduates, how many RSS? When do you leave PC?  Praying for all of the graduates!

My son graduated RSS on 2/23...we drove 17 hours from MI to PCola to be there and it was totally worth it!  He'll be starting A School soon (he chose Sierra as he was assistant class leader and was given a choice between the two) so I know he's going to have a lot of hard work to do.  I am so proud of him!  :)

Hey all!  R arrived in SD safely....he drove his car and took his time stopping at a couple of places he wanted to see.  Traveled with another buddy who took his own car out also so that gave us some comfort.

We were lucky enough to make it to RSS and A school graduation.  9 hour drive for us but it was worth it for both.  He originally told us also not to come for A school grad because it's short and sometimes they even just have it in a hallway.  But we needed to take him some things he wanted with him in SD and since he was going so far away and we didn't know when we'd get to see him again so we went anyway.  There were only 3 graduates, 2 RSS.  They made arrangements for a room since all 3 were going to have family there and I'm so glad we went! It was actually a more difficult school for him since he was Romeo and it was a long, difficult time sitting in a classroom so it was a nice celebration as he got his new rank also.    

Congrats to all the new grads and prayers for those who are still working it!

LeslieCR - Awesome!  and Welcome !!!!  My boy is Sierra in his helo squadron now done with the Rescue Swimmer Pipeline and he is loving life!  congrats!!

Rmom - sweeeeeeeet.  The buddy system is a good one!  Even in driving.

Rmom, So glad R made it safely to SD, T will be doing the same.  He has 2 other RSS guys and they are going caravan out to SD. Having the 3 of them sort of together will make me feel better. My husband is in PC now, just took T his car. If you are on FB send me a friend request. I know you won't be on N4M while R is in SERE training.  Wish I could go to graduation, but all the cheap seats were gone by the time we found out when graduation would be.  I am visiting SD this summer.

Congrats to all the graduates and their loved ones...It seems like every week there is another exciting milestone for someone here...Soooo great !!!

Rmom...I am so happy that R got there safe and sound...C called to let me know..he was so excited...It was fun hearing R in the background...it's so great that they are together again...

Roxanne...C was telling me about his conversation with T the other day...they are hysterical...sooo funny...they are so happy that T will be there soon too...such a great group of guys....warms my heart...xoxoxo...SD this summer...how wonderful !!!
