Lixi and KKr - best of luck and prayers for them...

  • Vitamama

Lydia, oh no, when you don't know something, that scares me. JUST KIDDING.  My son was a Romeo with the guys but now trains at different squadrons and will be flying different helos and different jobs.  His designator is AWR but he doesn't fly in the Romeo, he is training to fly in the Foxtrot. Anyone else have a son in that one?  To me it was just a dance step or a word in the Navy alphabet. Is that TMI on here?

  • Rmom

Hi Ladies!  Trying to catch up, I've been off for awhile.  R is several weeks into new training in SD.  This is probably the longest it's been since we've been able to see him.  We were lucky last year to be able to be close enough to see him every couple of months at least. Planning to visit SD in the next few months.  He was supposed to have his 1st flight tomorrow but it's been canceled.  Know he's looking forward to it.

To those going thru RSS, to repeat everyone else----being "rolled" back a week during any phase is not the end of the line usually. Just gotta use the opportunity to learn, stay strong and refocus!!

  • kkrHoosier

I check back here often as I know I will feel better after reading the encouraging posts from those who have been there.  Thank you so much!

  • sweetpea4

kkrHoosier, hang tight! it's a roller coaster ride! Praying for your Sailor!!! We are hear for you!!!!

  • Vitamama

Lydia, thanks for the link.  I will pass it on to him because when he doesn't have a ride out to east county ( and goes to church where he grew up), he will want to be able involved with such a great group of peeps. And I know that there are others who are looking for such a group like that to connect with.  What a great group of sailors we have, eh?!!!!

  • lexi728

Just got a call B said he's getting rolled into another class again :( His family is going through something pretty tough and the instructors noticed it. They said for his safety it would be best to roll him back for right now. I'm going down there Tuesday so I'm hoping that will help a little. I hate that helpless feeling when they're down and there's nothing you can do about it

  • Birdiejr

Sorry I've been quiet. My father-in-law passed away today. Our sailor isn't going to be able to get away for the funeral, just too much going on that he'd miss and we don't want any snafus. The program is tough enough without adding extra stressors. My daughters will be w us as we travel. I'll be in touch again ASAP. Good luck and blessings to all!!
  • Vitamama

Birdiejr.  Know that you have us behind you and praying for your family and also for your sailor that he will be surrounded by some good people and he will be able to grieve, even though not with that family.
