Well I am one, my son PIR on 3/21-div. 918 his div. did state flags...I have some answers , since my son has completed BC....
One thing is How are they chosen, well my son had NO muscial experience..he did know how to march! but he said when they got off the bus @ the RTC some lady was there asking lots of questions-they are bascially chosen for how they appear...looks, dress, attitude, whatever reason..it seems to up to a select few..I guess you have to look the part...But over all it is GRAND to have your child in a 900 division.........

5.0 is the best in an inspection!! As far as performing he will perform at two or three PIRs and they perform at their own..They will not march in like all the other DIVs. I believe that it takes several 900 div to perform all the needs at a PIR. My son was in the the front of the Drill hall and opened doors for High ranking officials and Special Honorary guests.

Hey All! My son is in Div 937 Ship 06. He was in his high school's marching band and played the trumpet and now I understand he is in his divisions band. We are so proud of all of this that he is doing. He didn't make a big deal about it in his one letter we have received but now I understand it is a good thing to be in a 900 div. I am so new to all this military stuff I know absolutely nothing and I will probably ask alot of questions. He arrived on 6/3. I am hoping and praying he is adjusting well as I know the rest of you are hoping also.
