My son is in div 934. It was 3 weeks before I got a letter from him. His last letter was dated May 30 but postmarked June 5. Not sure why it takes so long for it to go out. I still stalk my mailman everyday. Lol
Yay! My daughter called. Her spirits are up. She's a little disenchanted, but that's to be expected. It's boot camp after all. They sent mail out for the first time today.

He was so happy to return to his team. I want to share something that my son told me. He said that the SRs are taking care of each other, uplifting each other and being the family away from family. I wish i knew the name of the sr that bunks with my son, so I could to let his mom know that she did a great job raising her son. For the first time in 3 weeks, I will sleep better. God bless our children.

I didn't get my first call for 3 weeks. It was the third Sunday around 5pm. This Division is really busy. My sailor graduates Friday and we only received 2 calls and 2 letters the whole time he's been there. They have extra drill time practicing for the ceremonies. Side note I did watch the live stream 6/16 and saw him at the ceremony!! Bonus of being a division 900.

My son said they got to meet Admiral Richardson, and Jon Stewart. He was so excited. 937 is doing very well as a team.

Unicorn Navy, there are three "900" divisions, and they rotate each week. For example, for the October 20 PIR, the ones in 950 are Triple Threat (choir/band/rifle corps). One of the other 900s would be ship staff/honor guard (traditionally all male) and the last one is flag corp. So, depending on which week your SR finished his/her processing days, if they joined a 900 division (there is only one each processing week), they are in one of these three groupings. My daughter is in 950 and was most impressed I knew that her week was Triple Threat. The 900 divisions perform at their own PIR, as well as the two PIRS before them in the previous two weeks. You can watch some PIRS online and see that each PIR shows all three 900 divisions (because of the overlap in their performances for 3 PIRs). Just ask your SR if she is Triple Threat or Flag Corp (I don't think Ship Staff/Honor Guard is available to women yet).
I finally got a short call. He did say he got letters out today. As they begin hell week he sounds beat and tired. He is trying so hard to stay strong. 27 days sending good vibes to my SR and yours.
