This group started on 2/8/11 and we survived boot camp, laughter and tears. Now our recruits are sailors and headed in many directions, but we'll continue to support one another throughout!

So nervous......Last night's BS should be just about over and they should be getting their new caps soon. The next 4-5 hours are going to be sooooo looooong waiting for the call.

If flight cancelled, the car will be gased up and ready to roll. Would not enjoy the long ride but, would not miss graduation for anything.

I think we'll be okay on flights. Just checked the departures for my SWA flight # for today and tomorrow and they're scheduled to depart on time.

Thank you jim'scupcake, he is doing much better it sounds like. I talked with him on Saturday for 30 min and he was in much better spirits and said he had not had pain in 3 days. Hallelejah! They had moved him down to phase 2 and they are giving him two more weeks. After that we are praying that he will be put back in with another group to finish up BC and graduate. Thank you for asking. Have a great day. I pray that everyones son's/daughter's passed and have their sailor caps today. Everyone have a blessed day.

Liz: The calls usually start to come in around 2 pm GL time and go on for a few hours. But have the phone handy in case they come in earlier....

Same here, Liz. I believe the call time is after 1pm? Not sure if that's IL time. I'm in eastern time(mich)

texasmom: That is WONDERFUL news....I was praying for him this morning, that his pain would be gone and he could resume training soon. Please keep us posted on here with his progress! He sounds like a wonderful young man!

Debi - it will probably be a couple hours before we hear from them. They have to clean the ship, shower, & eat before they start making calls.

I didn't get my call on Friday until after 3m CST. It was a VERY tough day. I was completely non-productive. I hope your calls come sooner so that you can all celebrate!! I will know as soon as my phone starts blowing up with emails that you are starting to get your calls. Take deep breaths!!

YEA! Just got off the phone with my son and he is now officially a Sailor. He sounds so exhausted. Oh my gosh, it's taking everything I have not to cry...not working lol. Wow, so many flooding emotions. whew

Thanks Kimberly, that means my brother passed :) I had no doubt that he would! Congratulations to everyone who got their call! I can't believe in a few days we are going to see them. Though I am getting nervous about Southwest canceling my flight. I heard they canceled more flights today. I need to know ASAP so I can plan on driving if that is the case!

TB - I spoke to my SR for 30 minutes. They are given so much time in Ricky Heaven. They can choose to spend it on the phone, Internet (have to wait for a computer), eating fast food, or just relaxing.
