  • texasmom Ship 11 Div 179

Congradulations to all of you that have heard from your Sailors... Ya,,, Prayers are going out for the battlestations for tonight.  I know that Div 124 did their battlestation Thursday or Friday but, does anyone know how they did?  I would love to let my SR know.  Since he is in RCU he doesn't get that news right away.  Way to go it seems that everyone is doing great.
  • mumziepooh

texasmom - I think that everyone passed in 124.
  • prdmom (ship 4, Div 807)

So my youngest son has minimum day at school today...i've had the phone stuck to my hand since 4 am this morning...waiting for THE call. There is one dead spot on my way to the school that lasts literally 2 seconds...guess  who called in that 2 seconds! He left me a message " mamma ...im calling you and your not answering..love you bye.." AHHHH So i called the GF as quick as i could and told her if he calls have him call me.please..... 20 min alot of tears and i guarantee a few more grey hairs later , "Momma FINALLY!.."We all passed". Shheesh what a day ...Im mentally wiped! Now to pack:)
  • Debi (Ship 9 Div 126)

Prayers for all of the recruits that are going tonight ( and  their families)

  • justin'smom

Prayers for all of the divisions doing BS21 tonight!
  • judyspin

I have a feeling that Div. 127 is having battle stations tonight.  It's hard to drive, eat, do things with my fiongers crossed.  And yet I really know they will be great! One day at a time.
  • NavyMomofOnly1Girl Ship 9 DIV126

We got us another Sailor here!  Got my phone call approx 3 p.m. EST.  Stayed at my desk for lunch on breaks, had to go to the bathroom, but nope, stayed at my desk and I got my call.  She said this is Seaman (last name).  I said you passed BS? She said yes.  The whole Ship 9 Div 126 passed!!!  Flying SW, too.  No flights cancelled from Albany, NY.  Will pick out seats tomorrow at 7 a.m.  (24 hrs. ahead of time).  See you all at graduation.  Will resume packing.  Good luck to the rest of the SR.  They will soon have their NAVY caps and a handshake from a Navy Commander.
  • MamaMia

What a day!  So happy for all our new sailors.  My son called his Dad and sister (since I'd gotten all the calls so far) and sounded great.  It appears they might have leave the whole weekend in the 807?  I am just confused about when they move to their new quarters at GL. My ex said it would be after PIR.  Anyone have news on that.  Here's sending a big HOOYAH to the remainder of recruits going through BS21 tonight.
  • Riptide11/128

Here we go ladies!!!  Alarms sounding....off to Battlestations! Pray they work like a well-oiled machines y'all!....and stay awake until they're given permission to hit their racks tomorrow! Ugh! ((((((((HUGS))))))))
  • MamaMia

Thanks Lizzy! I am directing a play so missed all the posts between 5-8 pm! slacker that I am! :-)
  • jim'scupcake

WOW....3 days, 11 hrs....NavyMomof1...thanks for the reminder to print those boarding passes...I can also do that tomorrow morning.  My mind is just so focused on what he might be doing in BS tonight.  It was so neat to come home and read a days worth of our posts here....the excitement is really getting real...3 days, 11 hours....WOW!
  • Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons

Congrats to all the new Sailors. Can you believe it is finally almost here? Please travel safely and have a great time.
  • mumziepooh

Jessica - my son is going to be CTR - he had his FBI interview last week but nobody else has heard anything yet.  As I understand it, the security clearance holds people back from classing up.
  • MamaMia

I'm not really sure they get overnight-maybe just extended leave.  I'll talk to my daughter, who spoke with him today.  I'm just getting on that plane and seeing what happens when I get there :-)
  • Jajajo

I don't think there is any overnight liberty. The sailors staying in GL still have to be back every night by 8 or 9 pm.
  • ProudSailorWife1208

TexasMom, my husband is in Div 124 Ship 11 and my husband said everyone did great during Battlestations on Thursday evening but didn't say if everyone passed. So excited for Friday!! The hours go by so slow!
  • TB1983 (HM, A School, GL)

My husband was interviewed by the FBI before he even left for RTC. ??
  • Ladybug<3

I got my call a few hours ago also! :) a little late to post but I just got to my computer. We got to talk for about 45 or 50 minutes!! <3 it is so good to know that all their hard work is paying off! Congrats to new sailor families and good luck to those going through tonight!

For those that are married.  You guys might want to read this concerning moving your household goods.  You really need to have the game plan ready, so your not stuck trying to figure this crap out latter...

    http://www.public.navy.mil/surfor/rsopnw/Documents/Guidelines%20For...

Secondly, again for those that are married - Make dang sure your sailor makes a note on there dream sheet saying they are married. Sometimes the detailer doesn't know if the member is married and will send them unaccompied to an overseas location.  '

The rules are that no E3 or below is allowed to go overseas if they are married.  However, the "Needs of the Navy" override this policy.  So you really need to mention it on the dream sheet so it isn't overlooked.

Here is the offical rule... Read Para 1.b

  • TB1983 (HM, A School, GL)

We wont know until they call.. about 2pm Great Lakes time.

I could not sleep last night! The anxiety has a grip on me big time!

  • diannep

ICsailorsgirl.  Yes, once he is on the A School base, their rules apply.  But they took away overnight liberty for them in March.  :-(
  • diannep

judy:  Yes, 127, 128, 920, 921 went through last night, we think!  Calls in about 5 hours...or less!  :-)
  • Ladybug<3

  • navyrules! (Ship11/ Div 127)

Hello Jim's cupcake!  It's finally our turn to get the call !!!!  Best for Last! GO Navy!

We are on our way to PIR now, taking the RV to stay as long as possible :)

  • TB1983 (HM, A School, GL)

My baby decided to take her first steps last night!  Just in time to see daddy!  Its bittersweet.  I'm sad he *just* missed it, but glad she will be walking when we go see him.

Question:  When the ceremony is over and we get to see our Sailor, we can hug & kiss them- right?  obviously not making out (eww in public)  Just not after we leave the building, in public.

  • Ragdollrae HM A school SA

lol MamaSeal - I don't think the box of kleenex would be enough to recognize you by. I am sure that we will all be sporting them! Look forward to meeting you all. I leave on Thursday.
  • Riptide11/128

@Mama...I love your comment, "I'll be the one with a box of Kleenex".  That's like walking into a nursing home and saying, "The gray haired older woman with a wheelchair, is so and so's mother."   LOL  (((((HUGS)))))  Soon...very soon!!
  • Ragdollrae HM A school SA

Ho w are you handling today, Riptide?? I remember last Friday you were laughing a bit at our stress. Time for payback!!! Hehehe. Take some deep breaths and try to keep busy. I was completely worthless that day. Let us know when you get that call!
  • navyrules! (Ship11/ Div 127)

Oh TB1983, bitter sweet to say the least!  I hope you video'ed the first steps :) I think I read the hugs and kisses are allowed in the hall after the ceramony but not in public? Dont hold his right hand, (anywhere in public) it must be available to salute.  He is allowed to put his hand over yours as gesture of indearment.  Correct me if I am wrong anyone.
  • TB1983 (HM, A School, GL)

I did video tape it!  and I cried like a baby!  omg.
  • ntz4laa (HM Mom)

Have a safe drive, Navy Rules!
  • navyrules! (Ship11/ Div 127)

Thanks ntz4laa!  Hope to see ya'll at meet & greet!
  • jim'scupcake

Sitting here, wiggling in my seat at work!  Checking to see if any phone calls yet...this has really got me going!  How exciting TB (walking)...see everyone soon!  Safe trip to all!

How will we identify eachother??  I will have Lala's ribbon on.  I know some of us will meet at the meet and greet.

  • mumziepooh

  • jim'scupcake

Hey Elia...I left you a message on the DIV 127 discussion.  Welcome!

My SAILOR just called me back and I got 30 more minutes of talking/listening...yep, says they have all been ill and is really looking forward to the 10hrs of sleep tonight!

    I feel so good now!

  • Bebe

My son is a sailor!!!  All of 128 past.  Sounded tired but so happy.

Never have the words "see you Friday" sounded so good.

    Thank God in heaven...

For some reason the words "band of brothers" comes to mind.  From what he told me they were just that and came together when they needed to the most.

    Life is good!!!!
