It would be so awesome for a random person to go up and hug my son and tell him it's from his Ma!  How can this work?

Thanks all you moms for the connections during this deploy.  I won't be there to see the Truman come in.  My airman will fly out directly for CA.  But we've sent posters there for the homecoming.  And next week he will be here, yah!!!!   :)  How will one know what time to watch the live feed?

Imnadelady, last time I just logged on to the livestream and it went live when the ship came in. Yes, I cried.  Your sailor should know when they are pulling in by now. Remember to allow for the time difference. Bernapet, you are sooo right!  B'sNukeMom, we truly appreciate all the important info and guidance you shared with everyone here. I think you NavyMoms are ALL amazing! :)

Honestly.... what an exceptional bunch you all are. How blessed I am to be a Truman mom.

Bernapet-I don't know if you saw my note about the tshirt but my hubby, who has a bit of artistic talent, surprised me with this packet of material which allows you to take a picture of the Navy mom logo and print it to transfer paper! The guy blows me away sometimes, it's so cool! So he did that and I painted on my name. This is for meet and greet only. The next day I'll have a transfer of the picture on something like cardboard with which I'll attach some string to and wear like a necklace. Good idea about pointing us out with the navy mom pin idea (for Annams's son).

Ladies - just saw the FRG posted that the ship is supposed to be in about noon on Wednesday ;-)  They said if you are watching in different areas you should be able to see it around 9:30-10 at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, around 10-10:30 Ft Monroe, and Ocean View around 11.  The pier opens at 9am.

So very excited for your ladies! I KNOW you ALL can't wait! I plan to try to sneak in some peeks from work on the live feeds that day. My son served 2 deployments and I remember Homecoming well and how exciting it was. I will be thinking of you all and praying for safer travels for you all and your sailors. For those of you who can't be there in person watch the live streams. It's almost just as exciting! I have been following you off and on and after this cruise return I probably won't anymore as it's been 2 years since mine has returned. Best to you all!

Jacob94mom - thank you for the kind words.  I still feel such  a great attachment to this group - and I've stuck it out this far so I definitely have to finish it off lol!  I'm just glad I could provide some encouragement for you all during these past 8 months. 

To those still travelling - continued safe travels for you!  I hope many of you are able to meet up in person - share hugs from me too <3 <3

Ursela - FRG says the gate opens at 9am but I'm sure they will be lining up before then.  I've seen on FB where some people are saying they will be getting in line as early as 6am.  It just depends on how long you want to wait!

Pitbullboys  - I posted this yesterday - approximate times from the FRG....I'm not sure where cameras are posted for videos but they anticipate noon arrival....I'd start checking early!  And make sure you account for the time difference.  I'm on the West Coast and lucky for me I'm at work by 7am so I can sit in front of my computer & watch!

I just talked to my son - he's going to the base tomorrow for the homecoming - wants to see all his fellow sailors return!  He said he would call me while he's there & send me some pics - woohoo!

I don't post much but I do read everyone's messages.  I will post my sign on facebook tomorrow for my son because he will have to fly back to his base in Wa.  So proud of our sailors & so proud that we have had a very polite & caring connection here on this site.  All will be quiet after tomorrow; I'm just happy for all of us.  I did, also, want to say that as I read all the moms arriving now & will be going to the Meet & Greet, the tears started coming.  I will see him the 20th when he comes for a visit.  Enjoy all, I'm jealous!
