Just (hopefully) useful information:  I shipped a package 4/26 and it arrived at FPO on 5/4.  Still not to sailor, but getting close!  Someone had asked how long packages take to arrive, so just sharing my progress.

I mailed my brother two packages at the same time one was last updated in Chicago international the other one has been going back and forth between the same two post offices multiple times and I’m not sure why when both had the same destination. It has gone from Allentown, pa to Philadelphia, pa at least four or five times now. I don’t understand it. Hasn’t gone anywhere else bout back and forth. Has that happened to anyone else before? I’m worried he won’t get that package and it was his birthday box too :-(

Mine went from a USPS destination facility on 4/30 in one zip code zone to a military post office in another and it took 4 days between the 2. The last zip code I've been able to track is not the one on the package!  I can't decide if this is just getting interesting or crazy!!  Ha!

That is odd.  Don't be too sure about the undies, sadly.  Mine has had multiple ones "disappear" from the washing machine & dryer!  :-(

Good morning! Happy Wednesday, I got a email from my son on the Truman he got the first package i sent on 4/18! 4/18 to 5/7, 19 days WOW. I bet the snacks didn't last long. Blessed day everyone, hope your sailors get there's soon.

Interesting to hear all the stories about the packages.  If only they could "talk" lol!  I trust all the packages will make it eventually (and none end up overboard - not real common but it has happened).

kdshow - pretty amazing that the chocolate made it and didn't melt!  I'm sure that made for a lot of happy Sailors ;-D   Such a shame though that your postal workers aren't more helpful and friendly ~ sigh.

Kristy - fingers crossed the birthday box gets there soon!

Haha well after I sent the message on here about it I received a text from the tracking saying it was at my local post office so I took a ride over there. They can’t figure out why it keeps being rejected. So the lady was a sweetheart and we redid the labels and are trying again so fingers crossed it makes it there. The other package I mailed out on May 3rd was in FPO AE wherever that is as of this morning. I’m hoping that means it’s going to be delivered soon then :-)

Well that's weird Kristy!  Hopefully they got it straightened out now.  And nice that they were at least helpful ;-D

For as many years as the military has been delivering mail to deployed sailors and soldiers, you'd think they would have it all down to a fine science!  Hence terms like SNAFU!  Ha!

Well that didn't take long - someone posted on the Truman FB page that their Sailor told them they heard a mail drop went into the ocean.  Let's hope it's just a rumor.......

Omg which fb page there’s a few of them I want to see the comments on it. I hope that’s not true though that’ll really suck for the sailors who had packages on it. My brothers one package said it was in fpo ae yesterday morning and today said it was off to its destination. The other package is well who knows where lol

Yes I have heard from him he emails quite often! I sent one package took two weeks to him! And sent another still waiting hope everyone is having a good day ❤️

My package arrived yesterday.  It took just over 2 weeks.

I've got my RED on!

Hi everyone!! Has anyone ordered the red shirts they had advertised on Facebook I ordered one but still waiting to get it?”. Anyone else have that problem? 

Navymomma -  I have the red shirt from the FRG I ordered it the first order time. It took about three weeks once the orders closed.  I believe they send in one big group order to custom ink and then send them out to the individuals.  Be patient it will come! 

For all those who have sent packages that were delivered have you noticed if they get packages more then once a week? I know some received packages yesterday I’m wondeing if it’s every Thursday or is it random days. My second package is still going back and forth in my stage since the 3rd smh I’m starting to think he’ll never get that package. 

Last deployment I sent a package to my sailor every three weeks, and I can only remember one not making it.  Some times he got his packages in two weeks, sometimes it was four.

I know today must be extra hard, but continue to stay strong ladies. Thank you for raising wonderful men and women who are out there defending our country. Thank you to  those who have already served and thank you to all those who are moms that are currently deployed. Happy Mother’s Day!
