She has a Golden Retriever Service Dog that belonged to her late sister-in-law. My friends painted the US Navy on the Cover but these are super cute and would look great by the front porch :-)

I tried that a few weeks ago when our facebook group first found them and they are not available to do that to our area. But I am gonna go on there and see if I can order it and have it sent to my sister-in-law in FL. Then I can get it when we are there for vacation :-)

I'm getting really nervous because there are 6 in my family not including my 5 year old since she doesn't count as far as getting in to PIR.......I have already purchased all of the tickets.....do you think that we will all be able to get in? How do I find out? My youngest is 15 will she need to be on the list also...??

I really don't think it will be a problem to get in your extra guest. They have enough room for 14 or more DIV's to have four guests each. There are Sailors who won't have anyone come and a lot who only have 1, 2, or 3. We had 13 DIV's and we took 4 extra guests. They all got in and they didn't have to wait because we got there pretty early. We left the Navy Lodge at 6:30 am and were in the PIR hall in our seats by 7:30 (we drove) Just get in line as early as possible and you should be fine. It is possible that the extra guest may have to wait until right before the ceremony to get in but just sit far enough apart to save room for the extra guest when they get in there. You can also write him a letter and ask him if he has a friend there who has an extra spot on their list. If they do he will need to give you their first and last name and DIV number.

adrienne, even with large PIR groups, like this one, it's usually no problem getting in extra people. Many Sr's won't use all of their spaces, so you can ask if someone didn't use up their spaces. They will seat people on the list first, but after they are seated, there is almost always room for extras. (I've never heard of a situation where extras were not allowed to enter) They will just wait a little bit and then will be allowed to enter the hall. I wouldn't worry.
Lala, so sorry that you can't order the dog statue. I'm wondering if anyone else carries it? I got a really cute black lab one similar to this one...with a WELCOME sign. Found it at my Cracker Barrel down here when my son was home after A School (he bought it for me for Mothers Day). They had no more of them after we purchased mine, tried to order online for my nephew and they were gone there too. Guess they just don't stock enough dog statues for us dog lovers! I think I would do a "google" search to see if anyone else has them.

Sarge's Meet and Greet at the Sundance Saloon is free.. He provides the food and some helpful PIR info/ slide show. (Buy your own drinks/ domestic long necks are $2 just for the meet and greet) Though it is a bar and grill, it is closed to the public from 5:30- 9pm, and is private for PIR families, including children during that time. Because he provides the food he would like an RSVP for each family. Go to navyfor moms, click the Event tab and look for Sarge's meet and greet for June 28th and RSVP for each 2 people attending. I have 4 adults and 2 tiny children, so I RSVP'd twice. It's the place for our 203 family. I can't wait to meet you all!!!

This might be a strange question but how can I get my email notifications to stop? I want to still be in different groups on here but I just cleared 2200 emails out of my hotmail account since 06/01.
I knew I would be on every page every day so I turned off all notifications :-) And if you hear a weird beeping kind of sound it is from the chat on here. You can turn it off on the bottom right side of your screen.

DanaVann, my son is in DIV 195 also. I have not heard when Battlestations is yet. I'm thinking he might let me know the end of this week when I receive his weekly letters. The last time I heard from my son was about 3 weeks ago when he was in the medical unit for a fracture. It's hard not talking to him. :(
I ordered the garden flag and will put it in the garden near our front porch. We have a large flag that we fly every day already. My son will hear very soon if his ship will be deployed, so I'm so glad that I ordered the Navy one. Thank you raeveness for posting it. I love it.
