For anyone who has not found this group yet there is a Facebook group that is for any PIR date and DIV. Lots of people meeting there and finding others from their DIV and having private chats. So please join the group if you like. Just be sure to come back to this page and post any news or questions as well. Some people don't "do" Facebook and they like to hear all the good stuff as well. And you would be surprised at how many are hear trying to get info about what is happening to their recruit who are too shy to post anything at all. A lot of Mom's our age have never really used a computer very much so they are not only learning about the Navy they are learning a whole new way of communicating. If you are one of those or anyone else and need someone to talk to or ask questions in private here is my email address. uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com Send me an email and I will give you my number :-) and here is the link to the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/327167160695549/

Renee, Diannep gets the dates from those who have them from their recruits and she makes a list. That way if another member on this site has no idea when BS will be or when to expect that call they can ask her/Diannep and hopefully find out and be prepared. She doesn't share it any where else :-) We used to be able to post the dates on this site but they no longer allow that so it is much more difficult to keep up with and Dianne does a great job. Glad it is her and not me lol.

  • ReneeBC

Nice!  I thought I was going to have to sit with the phone in my hand for the next week! (Not that it doesn't feel like that's what I've been doing for nearly 2 months!  :)))

  • mommafinn(ship-12 DIV-204)

smokie (ship12 Div 203)  I agree this is a wonderful site full f comfort & info God bless the person who started it YEA & thanks

  • Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons

Well Renee you always want that phone very close by in case they earn a special call but at least you will know what day to really be expecting a call :-D

  • tatmom4rc(Ship12, Div. 204)

Current elections made it clear to us that my SR's voting information isn't set up for him to vote away from home.  So I did a little research

Just a bit of information that I thought might be useful.  As we all know not too far in the future will be an important Presidential election.  I have found out that there now is a Federal Postcard Application that you can go to online - or your kid if they are not already in BC - fill it out-print it and take it to PIR for your SR to sign.  Then you can fax it/email/deliver or mail it to the appropriate office and your son/daughter will be contacted online at the time of voting.  This is an on-line voting ballot set up by the Federal Government for all military branches.

go to FVAP.gov - click on the military link/fill in form/they sign it/send it and they can vote from any duty location.

I have some tentative dates for the first 4 divisions going through BattleStations.  I will try to send this out by Message To Group.  Check PERSONAL emails for this, not your emails on N4Moms.  Check junk/spam too in your personal email account as sometimes they are kicked in there.  Title will be BattleStations.

  • smokie (ship12 Div 203)

Tatmom4rc, Thanks for info about the voting process. I know my son will want this also. I will take to PIR. Coming soon. Count down continues.

  • mareluc(Ship11/Div196/PIR 6/29)

Love the countdown clock above........we are almost in single digits!!!!!!!

sorry - I couldn't figure out how to get the photo on the site.  Click on the .jpg link and it should work.

  • DanaVann (SHIP II Div 195)

Did anyone from Div 195 get there t shirts today? I am so proud of all the SR's. Soon to be Sailors.
  • adrienne ship 09 div 199

diannep, leftwayleft- have you not heard anything about Division 199?  I'm getting really nervous....I haven't had a letter since 5/29th...he said they had finished their division shirts and that he had ordered us some and they were doing good as far as earning flags and as a division...I need to know something.  I wrote him about a week ago to ask when battlestations was and to wish him luck.....haven't heard anything :-(

  • DanaVann (SHIP II Div 195)

Don't be nervous. Just keep on praying for them. Remember no news is good news. I haven't gotten a call from my SR yet. And there is only 11 more days.
  • diannep

adrienne:  I agree with Dana.  No news is good news!  Just know that he is progressing towards that "sailor" title....and is doing well!

Haven't received a BattleStations date yet from anyone for 199/200...but could be going through later this week.  Just keep praying and hopefully someone will get info on when they are going through and send it to me.  I will let you all know when I have more info on BattleStations.  Just can't post the dates here.  We have to private message them.

    Good morning all!

  • diannep

Gate passes were made available yesterday for you all to download.  Be sure to get the password from your original form letter and type in ALL CAPS.  You can print as many as you like.  Here's the link!

  • dozier

Praying for everyone in boot camp and for all the moms also!  This is my second time to go through this and I feel just as nervous and excited as I did the first time! I'm also not sure if my son passed his final PFA  so I guess that's why I feel this way. Diannep, thank you for helping us with the dates for BattleStations.

  • stormy1123 ship 12 div 203

  • diannep

    You are very welcome, dozier!

  • ReneeBC

    thomandker,

If she is to carry a flag, isn't it for her own graduation?

  • diannep

thomandker:  Try to go on the NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS theory right now.  Helps you to keep sane!  :-)

  • mommafinn(ship-12 DIV-204)

thomandker bess your hear i hope everything will be okay... It's odd how the whole time they are gone all we want is a phone call & now find yourself hoping not to get one... Having children is never easy & no matter how old they are you are mom. Hang in there hon thinking of you & praying all is well with your daughter

  • tdbridges

Great photos of last weeks graduation! I think I saw my son--could be wishful thinking too :)  Time is standing still again now that PIR is sooo close.  I can't wait for the phone to ring but...I don't want it to ring too soon.  My son has been doing great and I know he is really looking forward to BS, I just wish I knew when his is.

    Question:  what are the shirts?

  • marcyl(Ship11Div197)

We're getting closer! Can't wait for the sailor call!!
  • Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons

thomandker, it could be that they had to give her a different flag to carry or had her doing something else. Look for her in all the pics you can find and maybe you will find her.

In case some of you won't be leaving until Thursday) If anyone in this group lives within driving distance to New Port Richey FL (surrounding areas include Holiday, St Petersburg, Clearwater etc I will be there on vacation and I am going to have a get-together for all of my navy Mom friends who would like to join us on Wednesday afternoon/evening. I will have goodies/food and we can all sit around (or in if you prefer) the pool and just have a fun time getting to know each other and talking about our recruits and Sailors. If anyone is in that area and would like to join us please send me an email and let me know. My hubby will be away on a fishing trip and we were gonna do it Monday because he wants to be there but that is our 1st wedding anniversary <3 So, I would love to have you join me and others and you will get to meet my Sailor as well :-) The date is Wednesday June 27th. If you would like to meet but that afternoon or evening isn't good for you let me know and we will set up a another time while I am there :-) I am so excited to meet some of my navy Mom friends!!! My email is uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com

  • ReneeBC

    Lala.

I received my ribbons today!  Thanks so much.  I particularly like the two for my grandchildren that say Uncle Dillon. :)))))

  • diannep

tdbridges:  The shirts?  Maybe the division tshirts that were designed by the sailors in each division?  If so, here is the website to order them:

    http://www.usnavytees.com

  • mommafinn(ship-12 DIV-204)

ReneeBC (Ship 12, Div 203) THAT is so COOL is there a way to post a picture of them for us all to see & enjoy with you ?

  • mommafinn(ship-12 DIV-204)

Comment by marcyl(Ship11Div197)  I HEAR THAT ME TOO!!! =)

  • mommafinn(ship-12 DIV-204)

ReneeBC (Ship 12, Div 203) you did GREAT they look AWESOME thank you for sharing them !!! =) did you order them or did your SR have them ordered for you ? this is very inspiring & i am so excited for next weekend I don't know how i"ll get through next week without busting lol thanks agin cool

  • diannep

Renee:  Yep, Lala does a great job, doesn't she?

HOWEVER, if those "4" ribbons are showing your SR's last name, you need to delete the pik.  Can you take another pik and just conceal the last name?  You pretty much did it with the 3 ribbons on the right...but not the top one on the left! Just can't have sailors' last names on this site.  If your SR has a different last name, no problems!

  • diannep

Here is the link to Captains Cup info.  This PIR group will be doing that this Sat. morning.  A fun competitive day for all of your sailors/SRs!

  • Jill

Hello all, newcomer here, my son was just moved to 12/203 from RCU.  We're gonna plan this graduation thing again!

  • raeveness(Ship11Div198PIR6/29)

My daughter just called. She didn't pass her final PFA so she's in the FIT group now. I was hoping for the I'm a sailor call tomorrow, but not now. Sad. Still hoping everyone gets those calls in the upcoming days!

  • adrienne ship 09 div 199

raeveness- Im sorry to hear that, what is the FIT group?

  • Jill

Ladies, the FIT group is part of the division my son has been in for the last few months, (RCU)  it's for those who need some extra help in passing a particular part of the PFA.  Raeveness, don't worry too much, one thing I can promise you is that she will make some fabulous and long lasting friendships there.

  • tatmom4rc(Ship12, Div. 204)

raeveness - sorry to hear, but at least you know the status and you are not wondering why you don't get a call tomorrow about BS.

  • adrienne ship 09 div 199

Does that mean that she won't be able to graduate with the rest of the divisions next week??

  • raeveness(Ship11Div198PIR6/29)

She will only get to go to PIR if she passes her PFA beforehand. She'll still have to do Battlestations and pass with another division.

  • adrienne ship 09 div 199

well atleast she still has a chance, I hope she passes everything in time.

  • ReneeBC

diannep,  He has my husband's last name...not mine, but I can delete it.

mommafinn,  I ordered them through Lala Ribbon Queen.  My daughter and grandchildren arrived this morning, so I'll be knee-deep in grandchildren until we all leave for GL.   My 3 1/2 yr old grandaughter was telling  me where port, starboard, bow, and stern were...and that the navy calls the bathroom "the head."  She is practicing Anchors Away and her salute!  Guess who her favorite uncle is!

  • diannep

    How adorable, Renee!  So cute!

raeveness:  She has time!  The FIT PROGRAM works hard with these SRs.  They want to see them graduate with their group.  SO prayers that she will get it done.  She should be able to try again on Friday, and again Mon and Wed if necessary and still make her PIR.  They will have a BattleStations the night before her PIR...so if need be, she can go through that one (next PIR group) and be at her PIR.  Tired and probably in the bleachers, but there!  If she passes before then, she will go with an earlier BattleStations group and have no problems marching with her division at PIR.

Did you join the FIT PROGRAM group?  Here's the link if you haven't.  They are very helpful/supportive on that group:

    http://www.navyformoms.com/group/fitprogram

Hang in there...we're rooting for her!

Welcome, Jill!  So glad that your SR has resumed training!

  • mareluc(Ship11/Div196/PIR 6/29)

Raeveness....sorry to hear about your SR.  My prayers that she will pass next time.

diannep - one mom also said tonight her son failed his pfa.  She said he is retaking it on 6/22 but he has to wait two weeks for PIR - do you know why if he passes he can't do battlestations with another division and still graduate with division on 6/29?

  • diannep

mareluc:  That is a very odd thing that he was told.  If he failed his PFA, then he keeps trying M-W-F until he passes. Fri  6/22 is the first time he can retake it, but if he doesn't pass then, he gets more tries next week.  The latest he can pass and still make his 06/29 PIR would be Wed.  He would then go through BattleStations with the next group, even if it is the night before PIR.  He would be at PIR, but possibly in the balcony, too tired to march after being up all night.

I think he was given incorrect info.

IF he doesn't pass his PFA before his PIR, then he will stay in the FIT PROGRAM and keep trying to pass.  Once he does, he will go through BattleStations with the next group and head straight to A School....no PIR...if he doesn't make it before his own PIR.

Only way he would have to wait 2 weeks for his PIR is if he has been asmoed (setback) for another reason other than failing the PFA.

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone had gotten the "I'm a sailor call" yet? :) I wasn't sure when the SRs would start going thru Battle Stations. I would look thru the past messages but I have about 1 min before I have to wake my son up. I appologize.

  • diannep

Been told that 195/196 went through last night.  Not sure if 197/198 was with them?  Anyone know!

Anyway, if divisions went through last night, "I'm a Sailor" calls can start coming in today as early as 2pm GL time...but can come later too.  Phones handy all day!  Please ask if all in the division passed and post that on here.  There will be some who cannot make calls because they have "watch."  Their families will want to know that they passed...so they don't have to wait until they get the phone call (hopefully those who missed the division calls can call later in the day or tomorrow).

  • Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons

Renee, thanks so much, I am so glad your love your ribbons and that is so sweet that your grandbaby is practicing Anchor's Aweigh. So precious :-D If you want to repost your picture just cover the first couple of letters on the ones with the name and it should be fine :-)

I am so sorry to hear some are having a hard time with the PFA. Just know that the RDC's really want them to pass and so does the whole division. They will all work with them and try to help them get it done. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.
