Mary I don't understand it either, LOL he is not in the active reserves that is the only way he could get out of Italy, so now he is looking for a job, in two months or so if he wants to go back full time he can but he does not have to go back to Naples. His unit is in Norfolk so if they get called out he goes with, we will have to talk when we are together, but he is doing good and is happy and it is nice to have him home for at lease two months.

Paula have a fun trip. I had gestational diabetes when I had the kids, both the kids came early so that was nice and Samantha was a peanut so don't know where they big babies come from having that.

Diane, I am so sorry, I know it is so hard for everyone. All you can do is to be there for him, it is hard to be married in the military (well I think so). We are here for you, love to get together and catch up, it is so easy to talk when we are together. I will keep all of you in my prays.

Hello all... well, I'm new to this and not sure where to start. My daughter left yesterday to bootcamp (she joined the Navy). I have a load of emotions ranging from sadness to pride and if you'd asked me yesterday how I felt I'd say I was heartbroken especially when I went up to her room saw she wasn't there but was still able to smell her perfume. But as of today (right now) pride is setting in. It's just cool to know I can relate with moms out there who are going through the exact same thing and on top of that live in Chicago. Thanks all... Welcome Miriam, it is so hard, I understand, I cried a lot at first, was not ez, when the box came from boot camp with my son items in it, it was terrible. But when you go to see your daughter PIR, it is the most amazing thing I have every seen, wonderful. Then off to P-Cola but now you can talk to them more often. We wrote a lot of letter to my son when in boot camp and got a lot from him. He was able to get his first choice and off to Italy. Then we use skype a lot and it is wonderful and free. My son is an IT, he works with computer, he has been on land, on choppers and on a few different ship (for short period of time). Ask any questions you have, all of our sailors pretty much do something different and are in different places. I know your sailor to be will do great and love it.

hello, it is me again. LOL Had a really nice time last night, boy when that music gets started you really cannot talk, but it was good song and music. I know it is kind of late this year but next year we should try a Christmas dinner (we could do it at the end of November) before we all get too busy and do a grab bag for around $25 that would be fun, just a thought. I'm sorry I wasn't able to stop by Saturday I really was looking forward to meeting everyone but I had guests come by my house from out of town... hopefully we can still be able to get together soon in any other event. My daughter left 11/8/11 and so far i've only gotten the box but nothing else since. By far this is THE HARDEST thing I've ever gone through in my life not being able to txt her, call her, hear her voice it's just excrutiatingly painful. Hi all! My son Drew made third class Petty Officer too!!!!! He called me Friday around 4pm and to hear the pride in his voice was awesome!!! He was yelling and laughing. He had just got back from underway and said I got to sneak a call in to you because I can't believe I made it mom! I am so proud and congrats to all the other moms as well and thanks for posting the crows I had no idea what my son was talking about.
