Catmom509, still no form letter but he said he is on schedule for 9/11, we were told he might have been getting his wisdom teeth pulled,but I would hope to think they have on record those that were in dental / medical and call them up later to send out form letters ect.

Hmmmm, jayzmom.  Seems that you should have had the form letter by now, but then again....the mail service can be slow at times!  Hope you get it soon.  If not, be sure to ask your SR when you speak to him what the password is to download the gate pass.  He wrote it in the form letter so should know.  All other info we can give you on here.

Good morning! When I spoke to my SR on last Saturday, he was worried he would be pushed back because of demerits. If this is the case, would I receive a new form letter, or does my SR put it in a general letter? Thanks in advance!

Jayzmom, we were told when our SR headed off to boot camp that if we had not received the form letter within about 2 weeks to contact the recruiter.  If you have that information, it might be helpful to give him or her a call as soon as possible.  They may be able to get that information for you quickly.  Hope this helps!

tristansmom, You would receive a phone call from your recruit if he is asmo'd. The phone call would be "scripted", very short, and no questions can be answered. 

Don't worry about that right now there is still plenty of time to fix what's wrong...if anything is. Chin up it is very common for the recruits to feel this way right now!!!

You have plenty of opportunity to get the password from your SR.  Put it in CAPS that you need the password so he would remember to write it down for you.  For some reason, I would ask alot of questions, but my Sailor daughter shared whatever she wanted to on her letters and did not seem to really answer my questions or there is some sort of lag time....Also keep a list of questions by the phone to ask.... 

For those who may not get the password from their SRs, no worries.  You can take a shuttle from your hotel to/from PIR or you can park at the train station right past RTC....paid parking but minimal, I think....short walk to the RTC gate then.  No need for gate pass in either of these situations.

My Son sent my "password" for our gate pass.... one less thing to worry about. (never did get a form letter)  Thank You Jesus!!!

Glad your SR provided that important piece of info for you!  When the link to print the gate passes is up, don't forget to type the password all in caps~~

poppermom:  You can put the initials of that SR and the division number, plus a hometown if you know it, and see if anyone one here thinks it is her SR.  If so, she can friend request you and you all can chat by private message sharing more personal details.

Lea:  That is how Bootcamp goes.....emotionally up and down for them...and that is reflected in their letters/calls.  Just know that if you receive another "down"  letter/phone call, that by the time you received it, she was probably doing much better!

Poppersmom, our SR also attends church on Sunday and has mentioned in every letter how much he enjoys the services.  He says that they help him feel ready for the upcoming week.  He is in Div 299 and I believe they share living quarters. :)

I understand full well about praying every day for your SR!  Each morning I pray  for renewed strength, peace, encouragement and endurance/perseverance.  Probably many of the same things you are praying for as well. Prayer works!  If you like, you are welcome to PM me and we can connect on FB as well.  We will all see each other at PIR...which is closer each and every day!  Yay!
