Good morning everyone! 2 letters have gone out since I received my letter:-) now just impatiently waiting to hear his voice. So excited for PIR! Our other Navy son who left a year ago just surprised us and came home for a week for his dad's birthday! Hope everyone has a great day!
I just found out Kelly is on Ship 3, division 321 from her recruiter. I'm at work now, so hopefully her letter will be in our mailbox when I get home tonight. Where can I find her address on this website? Thanks!
I did not get a form letter, but i did get a real letter my son is ship 02 div 946, he will be on the drill team. Was so excited to hear from him. Will I still get the form letter?
man, i so wish i was there now. Being in AZ, our humidity isn't as high as theirs, but our heat, 100+. Gotta love our Monsoons though. I miss my daughter so much. :-)
Good Morning - Hope we all get letters this week! My sons recruiter did all the security clearance prior to his entrance Cody was in the DEP program. He had signed up back in October 2014. So I wasn't lucky enough to get that clearance call. But his recruiter was re-assigned just prior to him going to BC. :( Very sad because now I feel like I don't get the info I should be. I've called the office but no response.
N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC apply to the Discussion Forum area as well. The Division Discussions are viewable to all...just like the Main Wall here.
Please do not start new division discussions!!!!
The Discussion Forum area is set to show titles only and is set at ten titles at a time for now. (This can be adjusted by the group creator or an administrator)
It is also set to show the "latest activity" (there are other settings). So whatever has just had a reply added to it will "bump" that Discussion to the top. The discussion will stay up there at the top because it has had "activity"…until the next Discussion has activity. If there are over ten discussions, whatever is at the bottom will disappear from view…but not from the Discussion Forum. So, if you want to see more, click "view all" at the bottom right hand corner of the discussion forum area. It is right up there above the Blue Comment Wall bar.
When you view a discussion forum by clicking on the title, the first post ever made will be the first one on the first page. To get to the most current reply, click “Last Reply” directly underneath that particular Discussion.
~You will also notice that in the top right corner in any post that you do you will see an "x". This is so you may delete your post if you need too. You will also see the “x” on any post you make anywhere else on the site.
Your Division Discussions have been posted up above.
Please do not open new discussions about a division.
Use them to get to know each other even better on a "Divisional" basis...BUT remember that you all have the same PIR date and many of you will be attending the same Meet and Greets...so please continue to post on the Main Wall here.
Also, please continue to post your questions for us "veteran moms" on the Main Wall here. We can have 7-8 active PIR groups going at one time..that's 70-90 Divisions! We try to get to the Division Discussions but with that many it is difficult! We don't want to miss any questions as ALL are important...no dumb ones...for many of you this is your first servicemember and we want to be there to help and lend support.
Ellen0502 - You are a God send! An angel among us. thank you for all the time you spend with us. Its funny how you see the same questions posted a week later and then another week later but yet you veterans take the time to still respond as if they or I were the first ones asking it.
I just read on FB group that some divisions are changing ships our recruit is to inform us, just and FYI incase someone is not on FB maybe an admin here can verify this.
TyNavyMum: Sometimes the ships undergo maintenance resulting in a change of ships (barracks) for some divisions. This is normal. Until your SRs give you a new mailing address, continue to mail to the old one. The mail will be forwarded to your SRs.
I just wanted to say I agree wholeheartedly with Sharon1973. Thank you to all the veteran moms that are helping us newbies through these first weeks, especially- your help is so needed and appreciated!!
Navy Lodge (book in SR's name if you do not have military ID)
Also, Courtyard, Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Holiday Inn Express. 4-5 miles from RTC, near a large Walmart center...restaurants there, Sarge's MeetandGreet nearby. Call these hotels direct and ask for the Navy Graduation discount.

Booked my flight and hotel last night for PIR. I had no idea how fast the hotels would fill up. Thankfully I got a room.
Still waiting for a "real" letter. But happy to have an address to send mail.
