Got a call from my son yesterday, 02/DIV946, so good to hear his voice, said everything is going great. Such a relief. Congrats to all the other moms, it was a great day.

I'm sorry I have not introduced myself yet.

I am a “veteran” mom. When I am on here my focus is mainly the PIR Groups and Boot Camp Mom's.

You can call me FTLW, it's easier :-)

My Sailor PIR’d in 05/2011. He is a Seabee Reservist. I am an AF (Security Forces) Reservist wife (29 years - now retired). I know …not Navy…but I am familiar with military life! We have been through two Deployments. Our son enlisted while Hubby was on his 2nd Deployment.. This site was a Godsend and helped me get through not only our sons BC experience but my husbands Deployment.

Good Morning!

Hi everyone and good morning. I am Lora and I have been a member of this site since early 2010 before my daughter left for boot camp. She did four years and is now a veteran. She decided not to reenlist because she had a baby and her husband (at that time but now separated) is also a Sailor. She is now using her GI Bill to go to school to become a physical therapist and she wants to work with wounded warriors. I have had a lot of family things going on including loosing both of my parents and it has taken me a while to get to the point that I feel like I can finally get active in these groups once again. I am happy to be here and happy to offer support to all of you. Feel free to send me a friend request on here if you like and on facebook as well. I am also an admin in the original facebook PIR groups and I know many of you are active here and on our facebook group. You are getting closer and I know you are excited to see your soon to be Sailors <3 

I guess I should tell you a little more about me :) My daughter had PIR July 23, 2010. She was an AO with the VFA-37 Ragin' Bulls on the Harry S Truman based at Oceana. Then she was with a Helicopter squadron the Fleet Angels based in Norfolk. She is now a veteran. I also have 2 sons, 2 stepdaughters, a wonderful supportive husband and 2 absolutely beautiful granddaughters who are the joy in my life. We are from the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC. I have a small Navy Mom business where I make all kinds of goodies for Navy Families, I love crafting, and I host Navy Mom Meet and Greets in all the areas we travel to. There will be one soon on Lake Keowee in SC, one in the fall in Asheville NC, and one sometime this fall near Clearwater FL and possibly in VA Beach area this fall as well. If you have any questions about my business, or the meet and greets coming up please send me a friend request. I love being an admin in the facebook groups and helping in this group as well. I remember very well what you all are going through and I am happy to help in any way I can. PIR is amazing and you are going to love it. Make sure you go to Sarge's meet and greet if at all possible the night before PIR; it is lots of fun! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your group :)

Hi everyone!  Test day for some!  Hope all taking it pass with flying colors!

Wisdom teeth out this week too!  Oh man!  Hope those that have that done get some well needed rest!  Because there will be no rest after this!

5 weeks and 2 days to go but I am not counting or anything!  Started my Door Poster!  Getting excited!

Hi all, got my letter yesterday. Sounds great said he passed his swimming and PFA. Said everything was going good. His div 946 has inspection this week, prayers for great inspection. Everyone have a great day. Hooyah

Good morning everyone, I love coming here and seeing all the posts about phone calls. I am so happy for all of you :) 

Bekkelee:  So glad you got a good call.  She must have pled her case rather than "making a stink" as the RDCs are not too good about responding to "stinks" in a positive way!  Maybe she was faithfully doing all of her chores and activities, and not bugging them...and one of them noticed this and let her call.  Whatever....glad she did!
