ALUMNI OF PIR 09/25/2015 TG 46 - 11 Divisions (317-326, and 946)

My son is also in 326, and it has been a long time since he called or wrote.  I got my only call on August 22, and my last letter on Sept. 3....Hoping for a sailor call soon.

From everything I have seen, we won't hear from 326 until tomorrow. :(

rootie:  323 has not gone through BattleStaitons yet.....but very soon!

All remaining divisions will be calling tomorrow afternoon after 2pm Central.

Auntie #1:  Your SR will have the final chance to try tomorrow.  If she passes, she will go through BattleStations Thurs night with the next PIR group and will be at PIR.  If she doesn't pass, she will stay in FIT and get 10-12 more tries....testing every 48 hrs.  She will not have a PIR after missing her own...but when she passes, she will do BattleStations and THEN head to A School (she should get a short Liberty after BattleStations).  Hoping that she gets it done and is at PIR!

Hunter:  She will not be able to call you again until she passes BattleStations, once she passes the PFA.  It is possible that she did pass her PFA yesterday, and did BattleStations last night but just couldn't call yet.  I hope you get that call soon!

That is always the issue, Hunter.  They tell you not to go unless you hear from your SR again that he/she is now a sailor (after BattleStations).  However, if they can't do BattleStations until Thurs night, that won't work too well.  Some keep their travel plans, go to PIR and hope they have their now-sailor's name on the list at the gate.  If not, they are turned away...and they don't get to see their SR.  Very sad....but in that case, they just sightsee and make the best of it.

Remember, PIR is just the beginning of the Navy journey. Keep plugged into Navy for Moms where there are groups for A school, C school, ratings (jobs), bases, ships, states, regional, twins and multiples, and the "Christian Navy Moms" that I am a part of!

Also, the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on Facebook puts up photos from each PIR. If you see your Sailor in a pic or more, you can download it to your own computer by either clicking on the picture, going down to Options and downloading it OR right click, "Save Picture As" to a file on your computer~~

Good Morning!  I'm a Sailor calls today from 323-326!  Congrats!  Safe travel today for those leaving for GL!

Hunter:  I sure hope that you get a call from your SAILOR wife today.....yes, I agree, that it is very disappointing for those who have done that---traveled to GL only to find out that their SR is not a sailor yet.  Hopefully she was able to pass that PFA and already has completed BattleStations....just waiting to call you!  If you do not hear from her today, you can try calling RTC to see if they will give you the "status" of your SR.  Most times this doesn't work, but in the past, some have been told the status.  It would be worth a try....just in case.  But hopefully you will get your call today.

Hunter, The problem is they can't give out much information to you if anything. All you can ask is if she is still on track for graduation on Friday, and then they can only say yes or no, if they will even give you that info. If you asked more than that they can't and won't say anymore.

Sorry, Hunter.  The thing is....Public Affairs lets people know that info has to come directly from their SRs, but of course, she can't right now since she is not allowed to call yet.  I'm so sorry it has to work this way, but it does.  Brian actually has been in Public Affairs a long time and is a good guy, but there are rules he has to follow.  They are aware of people having travel plans not knowing what to do.  The thing is....if she misses her own PIR, she will not have another one.  If she doesn't pass before Friday, she will stay in FIT and keep trying....10-12 more tries, every 48 hrs.  When she passes, she will do BattleStations and then call you when a sailor.  Usually they get a little Liberty time at that time, if you live close enough to get up there on short notice....and then they are shipped directly to A School.  I still hope that you hear from her sometime today....calls for those who became sailors today won't start for about 30 more minutes.  Keep us posted!

Has anyone heard from ship 04 Div 326 I am so stressed out I am supposed to drive starting tomorrow morning from Denver but not sure if I should if he is not graduating ?

Any advice please?? Found out my son is flying out Saturday out of Midway and we are flying out of O'hare...how can I get his phone to him??
