Auntie #1 your niece and my wife did in fact know each other. Unfortunately she did not pass in time, but Haley(my wife) said she is still in good spirits. She will be a sailor soon. Just wanted you to know she's doing okay in there.
  • diannep

Hunter:  SO kind of you to keep Auntie#1 aware.  I know she will feel so much better when she reads your post below!  Hope you are enjoying your time with your sailor wife!

Everyone enjoy Liberty time/airport time with your new sailors!

QBMom:  I hope that you had no problem getting the airlines passes today to wait with your sailor.  Sorry, busy morning and missed your post!  The airlines are usually pretty good about giving passes to Navy family members (with ID) there with their sailors so hope you had no trouble!

  • diannep

Auntie#1:  Here is the link to the FIT group.  It is not terribly active but there are some N4Moms veterans (sammy is one of them) who check in so hope someone answers you soon!

Yes diannep all is well! Thank you
  • Hunter Vance

Thank you diannep! I enjoyed every second of it! She was so happy to get out for awhile, and even a little nervous. Even though she changed a lot she also hadn't changed a bit. If that makes sense. It was very hard to give her back, after 2 long months but I'll be with her again soon. :) thanks again everyone for all the support and information that has helped me and so many others get through this. So very proud of my wife and all of the other sailors and their wonderful families.
  • diannep

Ahhh, Hunter....so great to hear that you had such a wonderful time.  And you said it beautifully....she changed alot and she also hadn't changed at bit!  Yep, I think we all understand that!  Blessings to both of you as she continues her training!

  • CatMom509

    Hunter Vance,

Wow, that is a long A school, but thank the Lord it is in California!!  (If I am remembering right...)

  • Hunter Vance

Yes it is. She will be in language defense or something like that. It's hard to keep up with everything(haha) it's a tough job but it's her dream job and she's a very smart woman.
Auntie#1: so happy to hear that. We knew she could do it. My wife said it was tough on everyone, but they never give up and push harder each time. Sounds like your niece will be a sailor tomorrow!:) a tired one but nonetheless a sailor. I'll be cheering her on tonight.
