bandmom,   I don't know the answer to your question but go to FaceBook Pensacola A and C school  families.   There is a lot of activity on that site and a great Admin who might can help.   Not a lot of activity here.  Good luck.   My son says it is sooooooo hot in Pensacola.  Arrived 07/18 for CTM.  Hope to see you on the FB page.

Chances are it won't get fixed. Best bet is for him to request another room as other students graduate and move on. Until then, get a fan.

Got another question, My son wants to get wifi, but I heard the gowifi navy isn't very good and  very expensive. Can they get something else at there?

Hey everyone! My Son is now in his barracks in Monterey! He had his PIR this past Friday....FANTASTIC weekend! He is getting settled in, and making friends! He bought his internet and I got to Skype with him yesterday! Question...is there a Facebook group for the CTI's? Thanks!

I've been trying to find an answer to this question. My husband got to Monterey yesterday. I was hoping to be able to move down since he will be there longer than 6 months. But, now people are telling him that he has to wait until he is Phase 3 before I can even think about coming down. Does anyone know what this means? We were told that I would be able to move down quickly after he got there. Any information would be wonderful.

Our CTI2B arrived last night at DLI with the rest of cohort from graduating class. He will class up in a week. Any advice to pass on about housing, services (internet?), etc. helpful.

Does anyone know the Christmas Holiday stand down for DLI?  IS this liberty and do they have to be on base every night? Thanks-

My son is leaving for bootcamp on 11/16. I am wondering when the top secret clearance is actually done. Does anyone know? He had the preliminary clearance in Februrary but we haven't heard from anyone that they have been interviewed in regards to my son.

My Son arrived at the DLI in August..His security stuff is still ongoing. Was told he would probably move on to C school (in a year) before it's all complete. His freinds got visits in September, and a couple of his High School teachers were interviewed last week! Might be a long haul before it's all done! Hope this helps!

Hi jenb-  my son arrived DLI Oct. and clearance is ongoing. It could still be many months before complete. If there were any major red flags, neither of our boys would be at DLI. Same story as missducky, might be in a year, but certainly before they move to "F" school or first duty assign. My son is loving it!

My son completed bootcamp in November of LAST year, he is now in San Diego and his clearance is still not done.  Apparently it takes a very long time.  

Hi everyone.  I'm new on this group.  My son just left for boot camp on Wednesday.  

So after my son finishes boot camp.  He said he will be off to A school in Penn, Florida and also C school.  Do they let him come home after C school?

Same excitement here rebeccachaplain. Blessing to be close to school. We are actually picking up my son and another sailor for Thanksgiving! So wonderful to have a couple of days to catch up. How long is A school for CTM'S? Is there further schooling after A school? 

My son is CTM in C school now   Not all get C school.  A school was about 3 months and C school is about the same

His A school ended the first of Dec.  and he had a chance to come home at Christmas but did not.  C school started the first of Jan.  and will end the end of March.  He is ready to get to his duty station and start work.  He will have some time at home prior to leaving for Japan.   We did attend A school graduation and it was delightful.   Small, informal but very heart warming.  You can watch PIR on the web.  I know you are so proud of him.   Good luck.   

I just got back home. I had a great ,but rainy, visit with my CTR, he is phase II and doing great in class and said the holding after A school is about 3 months. The C school may be a option but he doesn't know if he will get it or a unknown duty station. The rules have changed at Corry and there is not a sign out, make sure they check with their chain of command before leaving base. He has no idea about any leave time that he may have or when.
