Hotels near base

Hi. I'm heading down to Charleston to see my son this weekend and would like to know of a decent hotel near the base. Any suggestions?

    Also, which airport would I fly out of to go home (I'm driving down with his car and I'll be flying home.)

      There are many hotels around, I stayed at this one and can recommend it.  It was very nice and a short drive to the base.

      Wingate by Wyndham Charleston University Boulevard
      9280 University Boulevard, North Charleston, SC

      You would probably fly out of Charleston International (CHS) which is also in the North Charleston area.

        Over on the Nuke Moms page we have a discussion that lists some hotels & places to stay.  I also put info for the Villas (on base - but your sailor has to make the reservation).  Come on over there & check it out!

        We also flew into Charleston International....
