PIR Division Flags
I just attended PIR on April 7, 2017 and it was an amazing ceremony. My Sailors division designed their division flag with a submarine and eagle and it was really beautiful. They named the submarine the USS ZAYNE in honor of my Sailor's 13 year old brother Zayne that took his life about 10 days after our Sailor went to boot camp. I was such an honor that they named the sub after Zayne. He was able to leave boot camp and come to the funeral services and I know it was really hard for him dealing with the grief and boot camp at the same time but he said all the recruits in his division really helped him. I was told that sometimes they give the flags away but don't know the process or who to contact about the flag? Any information on this would be helpful. Thank you
