Ft. Leonard Wood

Has anybody or their loved one been to Fort Leonard Wood? I heard it's a lot of trees and hills (which we both love). Can anybody else tell me their experience there or what to expect?

    My son is currently in Ft Leonard Wood, but we have not been there yet.  He is traveling home tonight for the holidays:), but I can get a description from him once we talk.  He has only ventured into "the town" a couple of times due to the fact that he had to reach a certain level before being able to leave the base.  

    Do you need more specifics about the base, too (only about 80 Navy and a few other small groups of branches0.  Since it is an Army base and training center, Army recruits are the vast majority (by a huge number).
