The Form Letter now arrives around ten to fourteen business days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC, so you should be getting it next week. It will tell you your recruit's address and PIR date and other important information. Keep it in a safe place.

I got "the box" yesterday and was proud of myself because I hardly cried at all!  That's a big win for me!  I think he had his physical test (PFA) today and I've been praying all day that he passed.  I guess I won't know until a week from now when/if I receive the form letter.  I've never been so anxious to recieve a form letter!  Once I know if he passed his PFA I might actually get a decent night's sleep.  I miss him every minute but I'm so proud of him and all of the other young men and women who are in boot camp right now and all of the mom's and dad's who helped them get there.  Hopefully we'll all meet at PIR and celebrate our future sailors' successes!
