Roll back

How/when do you know if your candidate has rolled back?  My dau is in her 2nd week (class 14-19).  If she rolled in the first week, would she have already been able to tell us?  When do you start getting letters?

The candidates could start writing letters immediately IF they have the time.  They are pretty busy from 5 am to 10 pm at night, and often they are also working with lights out after 10 pm to prepare for the next day. If your daughter was rolled, she would be able to call you to tell you that. If you have not received a call, that is good news! My son wrote me one letter the first week he was there, but that surprised me.  You will be lucky if you get one letter a week. That did not stop me from writing, I wrote 3-4 times a week if I could, just to support my son. The letters really offer the candidates so much support! Write about news from home, what you are doing, stories in the news. They are COMPLETELY out of the loop of things going on in the world.

My son rolled on his first Pt (class 13-19) and didn't pass the pushups again, 2 days later so he was in H class for 2.5 weeks.  Actually I think it was good for him and I think it gave him the confidence to move forward with a good attitude.   He just rolled back up to 14-19.   They already did the First Friday and Sucky Saturday - so if your candidate would have rolled they would have called you.    Just keep writing the letters.   I sent one out every other day and I get a few a week from my son.   His extended family is sending just cards to say hi, a good laugh and he writes that receiving this mail is like Christmas.....so just keep letting them know you are rooting for them and thinking of them and I think that is the best motivation they can get!
