Hi group.
My son is in boot camp now but will be in the SECF field upon graduation....right? Maybe after A school....anyway....he graduates on 11/1. Really hoping for a warm tropical spot for A school like Charleston but not sure how that is decided. Thanks for being here to help guide all the new families and friends of our U.S. Navy servicemen.

    If he is Submarine all of his schooling will be in Groton, CT. That is the only location for Sub School. Once he finishes A school he will be assigned to a sub and home port. Some sailors go to C school after Sub school but most don't.

      Oh ok. So PIR, then to CT for sub school then A school? I forgot what c school is, I will look it up. But I am hoping he will take advantage of all schooling.
