Housing in Kingsville

Hello all!  My DS just finished primary and is scheduled to report to Kingsville for Advanced training.  Does anyone have any info on housing options?  He will be married when he reports and after a terrible apartment experience in Corpus, would like to look for a house.  What areas are "good"?  Thanks in advance for any and all info!

    Hi Andy'sMom,  my DS was in Kingsville for Advanced in 2014-2015.  He and his wife lived in a townhouse/apartment at 3400 Brahma Blvd.  Just south of the Walmart.  It is a nice complex; mostly military, lots of couples and families.  We visited several times and it was nice.  Even held our family "winging" dinner in the clubhouse.  He found it through the base; altho I don't think it is totally base housing.  Not quite sure how that worked.  It was very convenient for his commute to base.  I know that they didn't have many options when they moved there.  Don't know if that has changed or not.

      It is not a house, but the Oak Tree Apartments just near the base are just a few years old and pretty nice—lots of fellow student aviators. It is also very affordable. Excited for your next chapter.  My DS is just getting ready to wing and head to VA.
