Hubby shipping off to BC June 24!

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this group and would like to say how thankful I am for finding a community of Navy wives, fiancés and girlfriends who can lend support to each other.  A short background of our Navy journey - my guy wanted to sign up as EM but when he was at MEPS they were offering him (actually pressuring him) to take PACT which he really did not want to do and basically told the detailer he will sign up if an EM position opened up.  And what do you know, we got a call the next day from his recruiter saying the rate opened up but he will ship June 24, which less than 3 weeks away.  So now we are scrambling trying to get ready for BC. 

Does anyone have a list of things we need to get ready prior to him shipping out? I honestly am so overwhelmed, I do not know where to start.

    Hi!? I have a question?! What does duty day intail? My boyfriend is a e3 about to be e4 this April. I want to help him relax but I just am new to all this navy stuff! I had a step dad in the army this is very different for me! My grandfather and 2 uncles were navy but they were in the engineering part of it all! So I was hoping you could help me understand it better so I can be more helpful to my boyfriend danny!
