This group is for the wonderful family members and friends of the sailors who graduated from boot camp on Dec. 17 & Dec. 22, 2010. We have been through so much together and we welcome all who would like to follow the paths of our sailors.

Needed for A School

I have seen many references in the comment area about items the kids are going to need for A School. Let's make a list here so that it doesn't get lost in the comment area. Either add things as you think of them, or come here and see what you have forgotten. :-)

      Since T is in IS, we weren't sure if he'd be allowed to take the new camera he got for Xmas. So he left it here and told me he'd let me know if he could have it and we'll either drive it down to him or ship it, depending on how soon he'd want it. He did take his netbook. He doesn't want his desktop until he's at his "permanent" duty station. He also took the iron my dad gave him and his brand new watch and sunglasses.

        From what I can tell, our Sailors can take their electronics, civy clothing (like comfy sweats) to wear in the room, toilettries, etc.  My son had to buy hangers for his uniforms.  He hasn't taken his xBox yet but his room mate has his and a 40 inch t.v. and is only 2 weeks ahead of my A in arriving at base.  He took his camera, iPod, laptop, skype video camera, videos, etc.  Space is limited but anything that makes them feel at home seems to be permissable!
