Hey Everyone,
I am starting to feel a little better about my husband leaving to be stationed in Japan. I am thinking, maybe it will be good for me and my 9 month old daughter to go over there with him once he goes up in rank. Some parts of me though, think, Is it safe for us to go over there?! Is it worth waiting back in the states when its possible i can go?!
What are your thoughts?? He leaves in January, and I have no worries about our marriage and us making it. I have been with my husband for 6 years, and we are high school sweethearts. I just want to know if I am making the right decision.

I was stationed there for 12 years. It is tremendously safe and family friendly.
What does he think of the idea? Because two years is an unaccompanied tour, to bring you over on command sponsorship, even if he's been there a while, he will have to extend his tour another year at least. You need the command sponsorship to stay there.
Actually, my spidey sense is tingling, even the single sailors are pulling three year tours. Are you sure it is only two years? Something seems not quite right.
