Knit for the Navy
A group for those who knit or crochet that would like to blanket our sailors with a touch of home. Our goal is to blanket the entire Navy.
Where do i send/take them?

I'm new here. My son just retired from the Navy after 23 years of service. I am so proud of him and thankful for his safe return tha I want to respond in some way. I want to join you in making blankets for everyone. I saw that you have had to stop shipping them because of cost. Does that mean you have stopped the project?
Would it help if I could deliver them to DC or Norfolk?

My advice to you is to find a local wounded warriors group or a VA hospital.. I bet they would appreciate them there... I hope this helps you My other thought was to go to the Molly's adopt a saiolor group.. There is a list of groups you can do your self.. They are small groups and would probably enjoy a nice blanket... another idea is to see if there is a VFW hall near you..sometimes they send care pakgs to troops.
