Hello ladies! i thought it would be a good idea to make a group for Submarine girls, just because it takes a special kind of girl to be a Submarine,girlfriend,wife or fiancee :)
My sailor recently left his second port and told me I probably wouldn't hear from him for awhile. I want to get a care package sent so when he reaches his next port it will be something special. This isn't a halfway box or a drop box. I would send it to the FPO address. So my question is: what rules apply? Does it have to be within a certain size? I know chocolate and porn are a no-no, but that's about it.
My other questions is: What have you ladies sent that your sailor loved? I know I'm sending a couple small things I know will make him laugh like a small annotated version of Guess How Much I Love You, and a toothbrush (he took seven with him when he first left), but he wouldn't tell me anything else he wanted because he wants it to be a surprise.
On my list now are Jerky, some types of candy, music on a panda USB drive, and cinnamon gum. He isn't qualified yet, but should be qualified by the time he gets to the next port, so DVDs might be a good idea.
I haven't done this before. Any and all advice is welcome :)
