Good Morning
I'm asking for special prayer for my sailor who's in San Diego Cal. I really don't get to talk to her that much and not sure what her job there. She graduate from A school in VA as CS, but when she received her orders to Cal she said that she will be dock because her ship wouldn't be ready until 2016/ USS America. She said she Loves Cal and she does ODDS Jobs.
Well my church, myself and family would like to send her cards, letter or things in the mail. And I ask for her address. She told me that she doesn't have an address and I can't send anything.
Really Her and I relationship has been on the rocks her last few years of high school and when she decided to join the navy I thought it was a bad ideal, but afterward my husband and I was/ is very supportive. She said she wanted to travel, get her education and save. Which she doesn't save at all, and I asked her about school and she hasn't looked into it yet.
Whenever I do get an text or talk to her she went out shopping or partying and that's not good nor going to help her save.
My prayer request is that you all PLEASE touch in agree and PRAY that my sailor will find a good MENTOR and some Christian Friends who can help guide her in the right directions. she's my only child and she's 18 years old.
I was hoping that the service would change her for the best and that it would have build our relationship up as mother and daughter. I know and I'm believing and trusting God that he will bring the right people a mentor, good friends and positive people in her life. Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find, Knock and the door shall be open. (Matthew 7:7)
Not sure if she's coming home for Christmas she hasn't really talk about it and whenever I did ask she's not sure. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.
Thanks and God Bless.

NarMom....I am sorry that you are feeling so disconnected to your daughter now. This is so hard for us as moms, and our kids just don't get it. Until they have their own they will never know how much they mean to us. I will pray for your daughter to find someone to mentor her. My sailor is in Italy right now and he is not doing well spiritually at all. He will be coming back to CA in the spring and I am praying already that there will be believers there who will have their lives in line who can mentor him again and bring him back to Jesus, too. Bless you, sister, and know that God is at work in all our kids' lives, even when it seems nothing that we want to see is happening.

your daughter is in good hands being in the navy, I wish mine was in cal, but she's not , your daughter will grow up as she is in the navy, they will make a woman out of her, she will not be able to party all the time, there is on duty, which means you will have to be at your duty stations for the week-ends , you do not leave until told, they have strict rules she will have to follow. she will realize how much she misses home after being there. they all go thinking they can do it alone, but they all find out they miss family, you just have to have patients with her.you have to ley her go, she will come back a different person than left. please do not try to tell her how to live her life, the navy will do that. they will tell her enough of the partys ,
they do keep an eye on there sailors, they don't just let them run loose so to speak, they represent our country, so they have to be at their best at all times. like I said, they will take care of her and I do think she will settle down, and as far as saving money, they do highly recommend to all of the sailors that they put so much out of their pay in a bank account to save it for the future, my daughter is in the navy and has told me what goes on , she will realize after while that her way isn't the navy way, and that she needs to her way realy fast or there will be no navy. they don't mess around. they are very strict, I know that they will help your daughter and you will be very surprised with the results, good luck and please do not woory, I have no contact at all with my daughter but not for the same reason, its because of whereshe is and what her job is. I can only pray that she comes home, she has a husband, who just retired from the navy with 20 years, master chief of arm , and also 3 kids, she is in a very dangerous place, we pray for her, i'm telling you this not to scare you but because she always did what she wanted before she joined the navy, now after over 8 years, we have never been more proud of her. she can hold her own again anyone or anything. so your daughter can do the same, have a lot of faith in her to do the right thing no matter how long it takes, she's in with a lot of the best of the best. they will guide her along, she won't get lost. we will pray for her. god bless you and your family, take care
