Son just arrived in Japan

Hi, my son just landed in Japan this morning!! Though we have been a Navy family for 23 years this is a whole new ballgame with it being my son

I want to start preparing care packages to send to him - I assume it is going to be different items than I send my husband in Afghanistan, can I get some ideas?

    Welcome... My husband was in for 24 years but I can tell you it's a whole different kind of missing when it's your baby!!!

      My Son just arrived this morning.. We both are miserable.. Hate he is so far. He hates being there , I hate that he is there!! Not sure he will make it and I am devastated

        My Daughter just arrived in Japan over Memorial Day.   She flew out to Japan the next day... now we wait to see when she leaves to meet up with her GW ship.   The Time difference takes some getting use to ....   Best time to text is early AM when I am waking up and she is going to bed...  I think she is going sightseeing later today/tomorrow in Toyko.   She is so excited to be on the move soon... she wants to get this Navy life started.   She should be flying out to Guam or Australia soon to meet up with the GW then travel back to USA.    Hopefully we can see her when she arrives in the USA.   Cheers !
