In order to retain eligibility for BH ( Barracks ), you may not be absent from quarters more than 90 consecutive days. Personnel deploying for a period in excess of 90 days (except two-crew submarine personnel and Homeport Ashore Program members)must vacate rooms. This requirement may be waived if adequate inventory exists to meet installations Homeport Ashore needs.
Section: Termination of Bachelor ( Barracks ) Housing Assignment:
Bullet Item 3:
• Authorization to Draw Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH): Personnel residing in BH ( Barracks ) who desire to draw BAH must vacate within 15 days of receipt of authorization
Bullet Item 4: • Voluntary Vacate to Live Off Base:
E1-E4 personnel who desire to live off base must submit a BAH request in writing to the BH Office, via their chain of command.
