mailing our sailors a box...

Hello ladies,

I have been mailing boxes to my sailor for months. But I've mailed them from my work (through a college mail room) I've never had to fill out a customs form on the contents of the box.  I went to the post office today to mail a box to her, (she's in San Diego) and they made me fill this form out! So now, who's ever hands it goes through, knows what's  in it.. Theft waiting to happen!
Do all of you have to fill this customs form out as well on boxes?? Any way to avoid it?

Gee, all my customs forms say:  crackers, socks, and occasionally soap.  Be very generic.  Very!

Theresa, I was going to say exactly what Carol said. We have to do customs forms on all boxes we send from Molly's Adopt A Sailor. In the future, just make your "Contents" very generic, don't want anything on there that looks real appealing to a thief.
