Good neighborhoods around Great Lakes IL??
Hi everyone! Hubs, baby, and I will be stationed in Great Lakes soon was wondering if anyone new of some good safe family friendly neighborhoods to rent a place? We don't mind being a half hour or so away from base. Heard the surrounding neighborhoods can be shady. Anyone have advice? Thank you!

My son will be moving to the Great Lakes area to be an instructor at the Navy base. He currently has no children but would want to look for a safe place. You hear of too much sketchy areas in the Chicago area. I don't know if he is looking to buy or rent. He has two dogs that will be coming with him. Could you please share some info.
