Ride home from Great Lakes on December 19-20, '14?
Hi - this is my first time here with this Michigan group. We are in Mount Pleasant (Go-Fire-Up Chips!). My son wants to come home on the 19th or 20th from Great Lakes, where he has been hanging out since PIR Nov. 26, waiting to go off to A School. Unfortunately we can't pick him up because we will be in San Diego at our other son's graduation from Marines Boot Camp! My sailor son will be horrified that I'm doing this, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put it out there and ask if anybody might be able to give my son (and ALL his gear) a ride back to the Central Michigan area! He's been trying to figure out a way to get back on the train or by bus but he's having trouble so far ... Thanks for your consideration!

Inquiring Mind, did your son find a ride home for Christmas? How exciting to have a son in the Navy and one in the Marines. We have other dual moms in our group. I confess these discussions don't get much exposure and it's definitely OK to post needs in the regular feed. I hope you will join in through the regular comment process and let us know how your sons are doing.
