NROTC BOARD DATES

Hi All,

My daughter is applying for an NROTC scholarship for Sep 2016.  Does anyone know when the review boards meet?  I've heard they don't meet now until September.  Does anyone know if that is true?

      Review boards have their own time table.  However, sometimes the scholarship is "offered" prior to the board in an unofficial capacity.  Then, the review board must formalize things.

      If your daughter has certain qualifications the USN is looking for, she could get an offer quite early (early is any time prior to November).  

      I do not recall, but I think the review boards are still based in Pensacola, and those "formally" happen in January....again, if things haven't changed and my memory doesn't fail me.

      Also, I think things may depend on the exact details of her application process.  Did she go through the recruiter or did she fill out everything on-line and then get called for an appointment?

        In the past, there are about 13 board dates, 6-7 happen between the beginning of September until Christmas. The last one is in April. Check the Service Academy Forum. There is a more active crowd there.
