Drydock assignment Norfolk

My sailor is tentatively to report to a ship in dry dock in Norfolk. Can anyone give information on living situation? Will they be on the ship or in barracks? Don't know name of ship.Thank you!

My son joined the Eisenhower when it was in dry dick and lived on the ship. I was told that there is always a long list of sailors waiting for the barracks.

My son is assigned to a ship that is going in to dry dock for 3 years. Does anyone know where the sailors will be living and what they will do for the 3 years? My son is currently E2 and arrived to Norfolk his first duty station thiz past May.
