I've been out of this for a while... my daughter graduated college and received her commission in May of last year.  She was very interested in the nurse option but ended up switching to Engineering.  

However, although many may have already been notified about their NROTC scholarship, it's still not too late if your daughter has not heard.  The Naval Academy was recently notifying candidates of their appointments.  I recall that there are many dual applicants (NROTC and Naval Academy).  Those that do get the Academy will release their NROTC spot.  And, I also remember that April notifications of NROTC decisions did happen.
