Anyone with a sailor aboard the USS Harry S. Truman?
Norfolk VA Family Day in August?
Can anyone tell me the date for 2016 Family Day? My sailor tells me that there isn't a set date but they are aiming for the week of August 22. Anyone else have this issue or know what the date? I'm 12 hours away so I'm trying to plan for my visit.
I know I am not on much but wanted to let you all know, if it is possible you have to attend this. It is an experience of a lifetime. Your sailor should be able to give you the information. He/she has to register you. That is how I got my information, if it is still the same, and then you will get an invitation.

I told my son about this Tuesday morning. He said they were just getting the info too. He tried to register us after he got off watch Wednesday at 1400. Seems the registration for the activity closed yesterday at 1000 or 1100!
He was crushed that he couldn't host us for this activity. Guess that's life! Hard sometimes.
