Pensacola, FL A School: NAS and Corry Station

Overview:  There are four bases here in the Pensacola area.  They are Naval Air Station Pensacola, Corry Station, Saufley Field and Whiting Field..  Your sailor’s rate and his assigned A-school will determine which base they will be housed. 99% of the enlisted sailors are located on either NAS Pensacola or Corry Station.  Saufley Field is primarily a Federal Prison and Whiting Field’s primary mission is Helicopter Flight School. 

Naval Air Station Pensacola is located in the southwest part of Pensacola on the water.  It is a huge base and is open to the public. 

Center for Naval Aviation and Technical Training (CNATT) is a major tenant on this base. It registers more than 98,000 students from USN, USAF, USMC and the USCG as well as numerous foreign countries into more than 719 courses.   It’s two largest schools are Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) and Naval Aviation School Center (NASC).  The NATTC is responsible for the following rates  ABE, ABF, AC, AD, AE, AG, AM, AME, AO, AS, AT, AW, AZ, AND PR  just to name a few!!
