Hi everyone!! My sons PIR was 10/13 and he just left for A school. Hoping to keep my support and activity going with my Navy family/sisters while missing my Sailor.
Informed delivery is an app that lets you know what mail is coming to your home. It is great to use if your expecting a letter or a package and you want to know if it’s been shipped or when you will get it. I’m so excited im getting another letter from Freddie either today or tomorrow. God is good.
I hope everyone had a good day today didn’t hear too much from my son got a letter a few days ago hoping to hear from him soon again I know everyone is waiting for graduation next month so just wanted to say hi have a great day and a good night
I finally got my a letter from my son it was great. He passed hie swimming test the first round and now he’s shooting guns he likes it. He’s passing everything and will graduate on time. He misses his music but he’s still singing. Thanks for letting me vent I’m good for now. I did miss his call he was frustrated about missing to talk to me and forgot he could have left a message but next time. Thank s again moms I’m back on track my mind and heart is good life is good and in a few weeks I’ll have a sailor to brag about.
Good Sunday morning I have a few questions for you moms. Do they teach hands on combat in boot camp? Do they get to keep a weapon of there choice? Do they get paid in boot camp? What kind of food are they eating? How do they pick what school they will go to and is it all based off how well they pass? Have a great day today. God bless!
They do teach hands on in boot camp. They do not keep a weapon they just practice with one that I know of. They do get paid while they are there. The A or C school they go to afterwards depends on what job they get. I am sure there are some better answers than mine. But I hope this helps.
Good morning moms I hope you’re having a great week. As the time passes my anxiety gets a little less. Just knowing my son has made it this far is a blessing to me. In his letters he says I got this and it makes me sleep so much better. Only a few more weeks to go. What a great time for our sailors to graduate we should be truly grateful God has let them go this far. Thanksgiving is truly a time to be grateful for what God has given us and a time to share with our families. So Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families. Have safe travels to and from your destinations this holiday season. God bless you all.
I was very surprised to get a phone call from my son yesterday. It was SO good to hear his voice but he is SO sad. He called to tell me that they are pushing him back a week because of his attention to detail. He didn't get too much in it regarding what type of attention he's have issues with and couldn't talk long at all. He just started the conversation with "this isn't good" and told me he's getting pushed back. I could tell in his voice he was devastated. I reassured him that it was ONLY a week (easy for me to say) and no worries! I asked him a couple of questions and he said he didn't think he had time to talk and then asked someone next to him "do I have any time to talk Chief?" and the person said no and to wrap it up. So my understanding is he leaves his ship and division for another one. So I was very upset getting off the phone (but happy I got to hear his voice!) and about an hour later we got our mail and his letter was in there. It was SO hard to read!!! He said he is stressed and constantly nervous because he's having problems with his clothes being perfect for inspections and you have to have the crease etc. He said they kept telling him if he didn't get it he would be set back and if that happens, he's done. He said he couldn't deal with that. I'm so sad for him. He is finding this so hard (which I'm sure 99% of everyone that is in boot camp feels!) and I'm nervous for him. This Christmas is going to be EXTRA tough. The worst thing is I don't know his ship and division so can't even send any letters/card with words of encouragement to him! Thank you for reading such a long rant. I'm just beside myself right now.
I read your post and remember feeling the same way 2 years ago as my daughter went through boot camp. The tears on the other end of the phone and letter were so hard for a mom to hear and read BUT I want you to keep in mind that when you see your son at graduation (which he will graduate) you will be so proud of the man that stands before you and he will be soooo proud of himself. Hang in there, it will get better. Happy New Year!
Hi ladies, I know it's a long shot but I don't know where else to ask. My daughter just called (yay!). She needs me to get in touch with a dr. she saw about a year ago to request them to send her records. The problem is the Dr. retired and I have called every number I can find but no one know's how to get in touch with the Dr. or how to get the records. My daughter did say something about getting them from insurance. Does anyone know how to go about doing that? We have Tricare so I would think the process would be easy...but then again I assume the Navy could access that themselves couldn't they? I don't know where to go from here!
KSMOM try contacting the Insurance company and let them know what is needed and maybe they can help its woth a shot, did anyone take over the Dr's practice? if so contact the Office and see maybe they can help. worth a try?
Do not forget for people who use sandbox ap get your letters sent before 5 pm est Friday if you want your SR to receive them Saturday other wise anything sent after 5 pm est will not be printed out and sent to SR till Tuesday due to labor day as fed ex is closed
So happy finally got the new letter with my daughters new PIR date confirmed and ship and div :) shes now on ship 3 div 420 she left home for boot camp july 30th im getting more and more gray hair lol
We received our son's package of clothes and it made me laugh. I have a feeling it was the LAST time he will just drop his britches, and pick them up to pack them ever again. No folding, not even an attempt at folding. Looking forward to seeing that sea bag the first time he packs that!! Miss my boy but so stinking proud.
