B,C & Oliver arrive Thursday night!  I can't wait.  And today my lil Oli is 9 months old ~ time sure flies!

Hi all - I'm back!  Dropped them at the airport yesterday morning and they made it home to Michigan safe and sound.  Long day for them...My little Oliver is such a joy to be around.  He's just such a good baby and so inquisitive.  Our little dog, JD, was wonderful with him too.  Pops and I took him to a basketball game on Saturday and he had a blast.  Local college team - it was so much fun.

And now I only have to wait a month to see him again for youngest sons wedding!  

What a cutie!!  So glad you had time together.  You have a lot to look forward to in the future!!

Jacob94mom, yes indeed.  I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

B'sNukeMoM⚓️MMN(Vet), Oliver looks like he was watching the game with such intention... so cute.

Sorry I haven't been on here that much.  My husband passed away on 9/1/23.  He had triple by-pass surgery and never recovered from the surgery.  He was 71 years old.  He never was able to get off the ventilator.  This has been an adjustment in so many ways.  Our sailor was home during this time and it was actually a planned vacation on his part.

I hope everyone has a great 2024.

Jacob94mom - I am so sorry to hear about the death of your husband and your profound loss.  I hope you find comfort in the love of family and friends.  I am thinking of you and sending prayers and love.  NMH to you.  

Mariecb- it was not my husband who passed but Tammy Girls. Mine had neck/spine surgery in Dec and continues to recover. 

TammyGirl - so sorry for your loss. I’m happy your sailor could be there with you. 

B’s as you were spending the weekend with Ollie I was spending the weekend with our Benny and Bella from SC. Bella was thrilled to get to see a couple inches of snow! We celebrated my daughter’s 40th b-day visiting several wineries.  Benny is 6 months weighs 18 lbs. He’s in the 90th percentile for a 10 month old.   One the other and of the scale, making his own curve is Cameron at 10 months is 15 lbs and has started crawling.   Mom is doing well holding down the fort while dad is deployed.  Her sister did move in with her a couple weeks ago. 
 Different times for this deployment, the ship has WiFi although spotty at times.  My son has been texting  nearly every day.  He called once to tell us the new baby is also a boy!  He wanted a girl this time but mom wanted a boy, so she wins. lol  Jacob is adjusting well, and so far getting along with his co-workers. They haven’t found him a permanent spot to work yet so he is mostly doing his qualifications    Keep him and his shipmates in your prayers.  They will have no port calls this trip   

Thanks for the clarification Jacob94mom!  Glad your husband is recovering and things are going well for your sailor, family, and healthy grandchildren!!

TammyGirl - I apologize for being confused.  I send your my heartfelt sympathy and love.  NMH to you.

Tammy Girl - I am so very sorry to hear about your husband's passing.  My condolences to your family.  And yes, I am glad your son was able to be there with you too.  Please know that we are all thinking of you.

Jacob94Mom - these littles just keep growing!  Oliver is 25 pounds now at 9 months.  Tooth # 3 just popped through and #4 and 5 are getting ready to.  Another boy!  Wow ;-D    I"m so glad you have more communication this deployment!  Bummer though no port calls.....that's a lot of time to be spent on the ship :(

My sailor will be getting new orders in the next few months.

Got a picture from B,C & Oliver - from the basement!  Tornado warning at 1:15am.  All is well now, B said just still lots of wind.

Yesterday was National Sons Day!  B is wearing the sunglasses and N is the one getting married in a couple of weeks.  B was in town for the bachelor party.

I booked my flight to MI for Oli's first birthday next month!!  I can't believe he's almost a year already - my how time flies!
