Good morning to Everyone today.
I don't know how long I will be on, I am here at work but am not feeling to well and am trying to decide when to go home. NOW or Later.

Thanks Blondie. I will go home after I finish the mail. They don't do it right when I am not here.

Thanks, I am leaving as soon as someone shows up so I don't have to get home and call in to say I was there and now am at home sick. LOL.

TwigsMom--Believe me you can try and stay busy, but most of your time will be spent right here on N4Ms. You hear about this being a roller coaster ride, this is worse than any roller coaster I have ever been on. One day your sailor is calling you saying she is home sick and don't know if she can do this, the next time she calls she sounds excited. She will call and tell you she is sick with the Navy crud, every female gets it and even some males.

Blondie--I don't think it's fair you getting all the good news LOL!!! and then you get to go to Japan (I am so jealous of you). When do you leave??

Blondie--I sure hope so, but she will probably just hide in a corner, so no one will notice her. LOL!! I surely thought the Navy would get rid of her shyness, maybe it will when she gets to her A school. You are so welcome anytime, I would rather be celebrating somebody's happiness any day of the week.

Blondie--I hope you have the time of your life and take lots of pictures, just make sure you come back, I want to hear all about your trip. (whispering) I know it will be hard, but just make sure you leave your daughter there. LOL!!!!!!!!!

Blondie--Have you been to Alaska??? I want to go there, I have seen pics. and it looks so pretty and clean (and cold). I know what you mean, your happiness has made my day and I Thank you!!!!!! I think they would have to kidnap her to get her to go anywhere or with anyone.

Blondie--Sorry!!!!! I didn't know, if I would have I would never of said that. I was just talking about sailors in her A school, I guess I should of said that they would of had to twist her arm. I am Sorry!!!!! If you get to go to Alaska, I am going to stow away in your suitcase (just make sure you have a really big one). I love to hear when Moms get good news, and it was about time you got some.

Blondie--Poor lack of judgement on my part. I am sorry!! I think you may have mentioned something about that before and it was just my laps of memory. Try to forgot I even said anything.

Sorry I missed everyone the last couple days. Between traveling 2 days each way, packing the truck and jeep and then unloading both it feels like it's been a month since I was able to check in and catch up with everyone. We are all moved into an apartment here in Marquette. It is a small apartment but we are paying quite a bit of rent because it is a month to month arrangement. But at least we have a place to live and we have our furry, four-legged companion with us!!! I will try to find a place for as much as I can and the rest will just stay in boxes until we move again in four months. It may take me that long to unpack!!!!! Our drive up here was quite a beautiful experience. After living along side Lake Erie for years, we drove up the center of Michigan to Mackinaw City. We had Lake Michigan on one side and Lake Huron on the other. Spent the night there and I got to dip my toes in Lake Huron before we left. Then we spent several hours driving along Lake Michigan until we got up to Lake Superior. Three great lakes in one day!!!! Too bad the way the Ohio turnpike travels we couldn't see Lake Erie on that last day as we headed out.
Now I'm going to pour this tired sore body into bed. Moving more boxes around tomorrow!!

I am jealous thinking about your camping trip. I love camping and I have been there in Fancy Gap before. I hope you have a wonderful time!!!!

Praying your daughter does very well on her ASVAB. Just remember - if for any strange reason she does not do as well as she needs for whatever job she is hoping for - all is not lost. She can study and retake the test in hopes of a higher score. There are books to help study and you can check them out at a library!! I wouldn't buy them!!! Do keep us posted.

Good Morning to Everyone.
I'm Back. That was some sickness I had. It was horrible. On top of being sick I had to deal with my cat dying. The 19 year old.

I wouldn't say I am feeling better. I am just at work. This thing is holding tight to me. I am making a doctors appointment today. My lungs hurt really bad today. I am just hoping that it hasn't gotten into there. I am wondering if I caught this from the cat that died. He had the same thing going on when he died.

That is what I thought, that is why I am calling the doctor. I have allergies but take stuff for it. I only came in today because my boss is being a A%&^* and is having a hard time with things not getting done. He keeps forgetting that I was no vacation then on Monday it was mail all day and Tuesday I went home sick. I wish he would make up with his wife and be done with it.

Jean, I am so sorry about the loss of your cat. Pets become so much a part of our family that when they pass away we feel the grief sharply. As Blondie says, it is like losing a family member. Please do take care of yourself and listen to the doctor!

Anna, I am glad that you arrived safely. Wow, to see three of our Great Lakes in one day would be impressive. I have never seen Lake Superior but I have seen the remaining four.

I fear that today will be another hot day for Maine but then we are supposed to have cooler weather. I guess that will be one benefit from Earl but I do hope that the storm doesn't do damage.

DC I will trade you. You can have our rain and we can have your hot weather. We really never did have summer this year. We had it hot for a few days but that was it. Usually it is all August that is nice. Not this year.

Blondie, I have always be bothered with allergies. That is what kicks in my asthma. Animals are worse. I am allergic to my animals but will not get rid of them. I love them to dearly to do that to them. I would rather suffer then have them taken away. But slowly they are going away any way or should I say in the last 2 months fast. Christina took this one a little easier then her cat. It was still hard for her. To lose a cat that had her birthday to the day, is hard for her. I think it made her really think about mortality.

Yeah, Christina has lost a lot of people because of the war. She has a lot of friends that went over there and she has not heard from them again. I think she has grown up to fast in this world. But you are right she will come home and it will not be the same.

Have fun going to the store. Keep busy that is our motto. If we don't we go crazy.

Anna--I used to have relatives that lived in Flint, MI. and every year they would go to this big christmas store, I don't remember the name of it or if it is still there with everything that has closed. I hope you enjoy your time there.

Blondie--now you know that Drs. are god and can do no wrong, and if they do it's somebody elses mistake (pass the buck) and unfortunately the nurses get the blame, and I have heard Drs. yelling at nurses right in front of patients. That is very rude, inconsiderate and un-professional.

Gee now you have a solution - - you can come visit me and see Lake Superior!!! I still need to actually see Lake Ontario! I was really close when we went to Niagara Falls but did not go all the way to the Lake!!! Then I'll have all 5!! Let me know when you want to come up!!! But hurry before the ton of snow comes that everyone tells us they get up here!!!!!!

Sorry you still aren't feeling better. And I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Right on the heels of your daughter's cat too. My cat is my fifth child - and I jokingly tell my kids she's the only one who hasn't grown up and left home!!!!! They joke back that she's still trying to find a way!!!!!

I know where Flint is now!!! We drove right down along side it on 75!! Is that store Bronner's?? When we lived in MD and would drive to OH we would see billboards for it. We actually ordered some lights from them. I still saw billboards all through Michigan so I assume they are still in business.

Blondie, hope your Friday is wonderful. I went to the doctor yesterday. HE said I had bronchitics and that I was suppose to say home today. Yeah right! I have to much work to do. I decide I would work until lunch and then go home. It sounds good for me. Hope your weekend is filled with fun thing to do.

I cant spell the other thing the doctor said I had so Bronchitics is close enough. LOL.

Please stay away from them. We don't need you sick too. I am only at work because there is no one to do the mail and so I am stuck here until that is done. That will be around noon. Then I will go home and sleep. Yeah, sleep!! that sounds so far away. lol

I will. I have no boss today so it should be easy I hope.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I am starting to feel now why the doctor wanted me home. But I will make it. Have to. I am the only one that knows how to do the mail today. Everyone else is on vacation.

I wish lunch was here. It is 8 in the morning here. I have at least 4 more hours. Then I am FREE!!!!!

I get to work at 5 in the morning. The office is closing at 2 which is the time I usually leave. So I am not counting the time I leave as sick leave because I always get burned with the office closes early. This time I am not. With my boss out of the office I can leave early. If they want I will put it as sick leave but other wise I am not.

That will be cool. I couldn't do this job without 2 days off. It would drive me crazy.

I know what you mean. I will have to find a way to squeeze in the 8 hours that I miss on Monday into the rest of the week. Oh well that will have to wait until Tuesday. I really don't want to think about it now. I am looking forward to sleeping in myself. Yes, 6:30 is sleeping in. Especially when you get up in the wee hours to go to work.

While have a great rest of the day. I will probably be gone by then. Have a great Labor day weekend. And talk to ya on Tuesday.
